Greensleeves
They are mostly convinced we didn't get the QB we wanted and Mayfield was the guy that we had ripped from our grasp. Brown's fans are fighting with each other over the Mayfield pick - very entertaining stuff.

T0mShane
I just spent many hours on a Saturday night getting repeatedly murdered by twelve year olds on Fortnite and I felt like such a loser that I considered drowning myself in the Long Island Sound, but then I came upon this person who spent his Saturday night reading Browns message boards and I feel much better about myself. Thank you.
Larz
I think the fit was really solid for all 5 guys taken. Mayfield swagger can help a franchise where guys go to cash checks The natural is the calm cool stud that can stare down adversity and just win games for us Allen can sling it in a blizzard Rosen is so far off the national stage his bullsh*t antics will be amusing entertainment Jackson has no pressure to play for 3 years. Thank you. My twelve year old son has been saying dumb sh*t like “triggered” and “rip in the chat” and I’m like, wat? Then I see T0m hashtagging the sh*t, and I’m like, “how does he stay hip to this jive?!” And now I’m legit worried that T0m is talking to my son & his friends as they play online video games together, cause I’m not sure who’s teaching who this new lingo. They suck so bad every single year, and still pick the maverick who always fails on them lol. How we get the best star of draft
Untouchable
LOL Darnold was the consensus top QB in the draft for over a year and then the Browns suddenly caught the Mayfield/Allen fever just because the guy had 3/5 of his OL ravaged with injuries and was constantly forced to play hero ball with a subpar supporting cast, especially by USC standards. They could’ve been sitting pretty with Darnold and Chubb right now and Dorsey would be a shoe-in for Executive of the Year coupled with the FA class they had. But then the Browns browned. No way am I buying that Mayfield/Ward is a better haul than Darnold/Chubb. They passed up the QB that even your grandmother would take + teaming up Garrett and Chubb to terrorize QB’s for the next decade.

LIJetsFan
I swear on a stack of bibles that if I were running the Browns I would have take a QB at 1 and another QB at 4. No joke. Can a team ever have too much QB capital?

Tough to gamble like that at 1 and 4.

bealeb319
We didn't trade up to 3 with one specific qb in mind. Was darnold our first choice? Its a question no one will ever know the answer to but I don't think we have anything to complain aboutSent from my [device_name] using http://JetNation.com mobile app
Villain The Foe
The Browns are one of the winners of this draft. I also believe that the Jets big board in terms of QB rankings was probably similar to the Browns rankings and would have most likely drafted him. Hard to argue with that when most folks said "Why would you trade up to 3 from 6 for Mayfield when he would CLEARLY be available at #6 if we stayed there". Then the draft comes and he's the 1st guy drafted. lol. Im going to open up a Browns forum account just to confirm that Jets fans are pissed that the Browns stole our guy. RVAJet815
Not ever going on a browns message board, but did have a browns fan at work who tried to spin for seemingly hours that the browns nailed their pick. At a certain point, you just nod your head and move on. Luckily, we jet fans are experts on battered wife syndrome.

varjet
I may have spouted that it would be great if the Jets had hired Dorsey as Team President or something while he was unemployed. He does come off as a clown. So does Gettleman. It must be hard to fill those GM jobs. Heimerdinger projects himself as very spiffy/put together. Has a central casting corporate look. You can see the Johnsons falling for that. In the end it does not matter that Mac got Darnold, or if the Board does not like Mac's picks. Mac needs to put a functional football team on the field in 2018 and beyond. He needs to be able to run the ball, stop the run, protect the passer and rush the passer. The defense cannot give him big plays. We need to cover on special teams. I don't care if we return kicks-I think we are better off always fair catching and touchbacking. I think if you plot that you come out ahead, as opposed to trying to return. Either this team works, or the FO gets replaced. The clock is ticking on the new FQB.
