johnnyjet
We all know Joe Willie sold his soul to the devil to win the Super Bowl on January 12, 1969 and then in return started a curse of 50 years against our franchise . Now for those jet historians and some of us that are old enough to remember all they won the Super Bowl the win wasn’t quite legitimized until the Jets beat the Giants the following preseason Now I ask you to look at these coincidences the number three pick in the draft was traded to us by whom, yes the Colts. The team to pick 2nd screwed up by taking a running back instead of Sam Darnold. That team the Giants. No coincidence the RB is a huge Jet fan and his father even has a Jet logo tattoo.. Then there’s the Browns. They screw everything up. So by some stroke of luck or.....a curse ending we wind up with the best QB in the draft. The giants take a Jet fan at #2.....penn state player PICK #2.......Blair Thomas was also #2, penn state guy. so there you have it the curse is finally over. The Jets are turning it around and the giants are fcked

The Crusher
I love Sam as much as the next guy, but damn you might want the kid to take a NFL snap before we start talking about curses being over. By the way? Ike Turner.

Ohio State NY Jets fan
In all seriousness, has anyone heard from Joe Namath since the draft? I have not heard of any comments on the new QB and that seems unusual, let's hope all is ok and the devil has not collected his due
Jetster
You know the curse is over when Patriot fans who have had a field day making fun of the Jets now since 2001, are bemoaning the fact that Darnold fell to the Jets after the Browns were the Browns & the Giants didn't want to hurt the feelings of their 37 year old 2 time Super Bowl winner who looks older by the week. That is plenty good for me! Just the fact that the Giants think Eli can somehow find the fountain of youth going on 38 years old & a guy who NO ONE would compare to Tom Brady physically who at 42 looks like he could be Eli Mannings younger brother. The Giants aren't getting by the Eagles, Rams or Vikings in 2018 so let's just say I guess they think Eli will be better at 39 years old? Tom Brady goes from snap to throw in like 1.3 seconds, now Nate Solder (yes, the old guy with the bulky back), has to hold up vs the Eagles Dline who by the way added Bennett (almost unblockable) to the mix, for easily another 2 seconds while Elis stumbling away from pressure. Have you seen the NY Giants defense lately? Let me know when you find them. Tough to stick to the running game down 17. Hell, JPP was the only pass rush they had last year. It blows my mind that in a down year picking 2nd overall, Gettleman passed on a QB like Darnold, a 20 year old that could have ripened behind the quickly fading Eli Manning for a RB. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty confident this is going to look like one of the greatest draft blunders in the history of draft blunders. How beautiful would it be to see Mike Fransesa wallowing in his leather recliner Diet Coke in hand watching Sam Darnold hoisting up the Lombardi trophy ? while the New York Post is ripping the Giants for passing on Sam Darnold in 2018.
