section314
Tony Pauline has his 2019 Mock out, not even a week after the Draft started. He has us picking 2nd, behind the Dolphins. Has the Vikings beating the Jags in the Bowl. Our pick.......Greg Little OT Mississippi.

New York Mick
I looked at 5 mocks and they have the Jets picking 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd and 3rd with Bosa the favorite followed by Williams.

RutgersJetFan
We’re fielding the same team that we’ve had the last two seasons. Both years we went 5-11 and wound up with the 6th overall pick. It’s really not that much of a stretch. Aside from Darnold this was a sh*t offseason and a sh*t draft for the franchise.

Same team as 2016 and 2017, all we did was..... 1. Sign a top 5 press corner 2. Upgrade Matt "running in sand" forte to Isiah Crowell 3. Upgrade wes johnson to spencer long 4. Have a healthy Brian Winters I dont see this team picking in the top 5. However the good thing is there are 3/4 legitimate OTs and 4 legitimate edge rushers for us to look at in the teens. flgreen
Oh good grief, here we go with the "experts" picked the Jets to go 0-16 again, just like last year. Every one was talking about how the Jets "over achieved" by winning 5 games. The only real experts was Vegas. They had the over/under at 4 1/2. The Jets won 5 Now the "experts" are trying to troll the NY market again, and get clicks, by putting the the Jets at 0-3 wins. The only real experts , Vegas, on their early line has the over/under at 6. I've already placed the over bet. We'll see

Darnold strikes me as the type of dude that's going to have more of a Stafford or Goff-type rookie year than Luck or Ryan. Either is a win for the Jets tbh. Aside from that the reaction to the possibility of the Jets only winning 2 games is overstated. The difference between winning 2 games and 5 games is mostly luck. If I had to bet on it I'd say we're winning between 4 and 6 games, but I think it's pretty obvious the Jets aren't fielding much this year. Pcola
We didn’t even pick in the top 5 last year when they said we have the worst roster in ten years. Now let’s add all of the subtractions both Buffalo and Miami have made the past two months. This makes up 4 games on our schedule.

Add in Quincy Enunwa/Terrell Pryor and possibly Darnold and many of our "kids" like Adams/Maye/Williams/Anderson will likely get better. This isn't an old team trying to recapture their greatness, it's a young possibly on the verge of doing great things. Should be a fun season for those that aren't miserable SOJFs. Grandy
To be honest, I don't think we're gonna compete at all next year so I wouldn't mind us sucking to the 2nd, and getting a top flight player.

Yep. Ending up with a top 3 pick again wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Unless it was because Darnold looked like trash, then that would suck. But there's supposed to be some pretty good pass rushers and pass protecters in next years draft. So wouldn't mind grabbing one of them and THENNNN we can get serious. They're throwing a lot of sh!t at the wall at the WR, TE, and RB positions. If enough of that sticks, and maybe Darnold plays early and plays well, the Jets could surprise. Not playoffs surprise, but maybe hover around .500 surprise. The defense should be improved, too. If the Jets are picking second in 2019, some pink slips -other than just to the offensive coordinator- will need to be issued.

The good news for fans is that it's the first real pressure-free year we've had in a while. No worrying if we're going to compete for a Super Bowl because we obviously are not. But even more importantly there's no worrying if we're going to be bad enough to luck into a quarterback in the draft. I have never been so excited to see the Jets not make the playoffs in my entire life.

How is the reaction overstated if we haven't had a 2 win season in forever and haven't shown any signs of having one despite sporting a garbage roster? Luck sure has a lot to do with winning, and last season we missed out on several we could have won.
