faba
Southern Cal might be losing both its Thunder and its Lightning. Running back LenDale White will declare for the NFL Draft on Wednesday, a person close to White told ESPN's Joe Schad on Tuesday night. White was expected to make the announcement during an interview on ESPNEWS. White, a 6-foot-2, 235-pound junior, could be the third major offensive weapon to leave USC for the NFL this year, following the departure of quarterback Matt Leinart. Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush has not officially declared his intention to enter the NFL Draft, but met with a prospective agent Monday. White finished the 2005 season with 1,302 yards on 197 carries, including 124 yards on 20 carries in the Trojans' 41-38 Rose Bowl loss to Texas. In his three-year career, White had 541 carries for 3,159 yards.

stormshadow19
Other than his strong Rose Bowl and performance down the stretch, the major thought about him leaving was his grades. Apparently, they weren't that great, but that doesn't really matter. He seems like a good kid, and he's got a great place to get advice (his cousin Chauncy Billups). I figure a mid to late first rounder. But, then again, I could be very wrong. He can be a very good pro. He kinda reminds me of Lamont Jordan, which would work, if the Jets drafted him, since he'd sit for a few years behind Curtis too!
The Troll
trade down..get white, O lineman, and cutler..somehow!! We can not trade down and get Cutler. You might as well say "Let's trade down and get Matt Lineart". Cutler goes top ten AT LEAST.
bman
so we move from 4(if someone is desperate for Young maybe) down to 8 or 9... we'd pick up an additional 2nd rounder perhaps.. 1st round..Jay Cutler 2nd round...Best OT avialable 2nd rd..Best RB available.. It's a start

It's a start The Bills and Lions aren't going to take a QB. Maybe Arizona... but they might just wait on Cutler. Unless Denny Green wants his Daunte Culpepper (that's who Vince Young reminds me of. Big guy, can move, can throw). As far as White goes... apparently Green Bay has a hard on for him. So, he could go, potentially, as high as number 5. bman
The Jets NEED a frnachise QB..Hopefully, we wont be drafting in the top 10 again for a while! why not get that QB now... We can always find a starting right tackle at pick 33.. I heard Bradway is really high on Jay Cutler.. if you sure up the line I'd rather have Cutler and Cedric/blaylock/martin than Deangello williams and Chad penne/Kerry Collins???? While it sounds good, on paper, it's just not logical. Not to pay two QB's that much money. Remember, the Jets are already paying someone franchise quarterback money. So, I don't believe the Jets can waste a first round top ten pick on a QB (which I don't believe in anyway). I also don't feel the Jets can draft a high running back, either. The best route may be to trade down and fill out holes. The draft is deep in offensive linemen. Such as Eric Winston out of Miami. The Jets also need a road grater at defensive tackle. Gabe Watson or any number of the good DT's would fit. And, if the Jets pick up an additional second and third, Omar Jacobs is the next great MAC QB. They also need a speed WR, to stretch the field. The best bet may be to trade down, pick up additional picks, and try and trade Abe for a first. Yeah... it may be a lean year, but it can't be any worse than this year. It may lead to another top ten pick, but 2007 would be a break out year. Then again, this all depends on if they get the right guy for the job.
