Kearse. Even if Enunwa is healthy. Kearse can play all over plus he has raport with McCown if McCown plays. And if it’s darnold I’m sure Kearse still catches the most passes. Kearse is just a better route runner too. Q is too big a ? To even count on. He could be 1 weird tackle away from missing time. He’s just a wild card and honestly we didn’t miss him last year if you ask me

Robby...

...even with the suspension looming and all.  Robby is the Jets' best offensive weapon.  The underestimation of his ability on this board never ceases to amaze me.

The best news I have heard about Enunwa is "he has full range of motion," and the Jets placed a 2nd round tender on him. That certainly sounds encouraging but his original timetable for recovery was 6 to 9 months.  His surgery was in August.  It is May.  9 months.  While there is certainly no need to rush him back for OTAs,  I want to see what his fitness and participation level his before placing any expectations on him.   Enunwa's best season he caught 58 balls for 857... and now missed an entire year returning from a severe neck/spine injury, not a torn muscle or broken bone.  We can all root for QE to come back and ball out... but it might be wishful thinking.

As for Kearse, he and Robby had virtually the same number of catches in 2017.  Both played 16 games.  Kearse had 65 for 810 yards.  Robby had 63 for 941.  Kearse is what he is at this point in his career.   Robby's ceiling is still several feet away.

Kearse. Bowles has told everyone he wants the offense far more conservative this yr. He fired Morton for not falling those directions last yr. Bates will. More running plays will be called, but I think Bowles will make Bates call more conservative pass plays as well. That means short passes for kearse, over the deep threat Anderson.

we gotta remember who the qb might be.  imo mccown has some comfort throwing to kearse.

i don't think that's what he meant by launching morton.  morton seemed to lack imagination at big moments in the games and the offense seemed to stall way too much in the fourth quarter, especially when behind.

Enunwa if healthy. I don't think it'll be close. He's a stud, with our luck he'll never really will be healthy again

He's a stud that had less catches in his career year than Kearse or Anderson had last season.  He catches a lower percentage of passes than any of them - even Pryor who will take away some of his big guy targets.  They are all fairly close, but Enunwa sure isn't the favorite, particularly since he has the most injury concerns.

Kearse is the most popular choice because he's definitely the safe money bet.  While nothing spectacular, he's the kind of guy that you know what you'll get out of, which is more than you can say for the rest of these guys.  Plus Kearse's skillset is pretty sell suited for a west coast offense.

In regards to the other guys, there's plenty of potential there but no sure things.  Clearly the Jets' mindset with these upside guys who still have things to prove is that by having multiple of them, you're helping your odds of hitting on at least one.  In the end, Anderson needs to get his sh*t together and is likely looking at a suspension, Enunwa has his health concerns, and Pryor has one successful season at the position in his entire life, which came crashing back down a year later.  All of them have serious question marks that come along with them, but the plus side being that they've all had some degree of success in the past, and you're hoping at least one should be able to return to form (or better).

There's also an outside chance of one of last year's rookies stepping up in their second year (with Hansen seeming to have the better odds of the two), but I wouldn't be betting on that being to the point of Jets' leading receiver.

But Bowles calling for him to run the ball a lot more is more imaginative ? It is amazing the offense didn’t stall for all 4 quarters Lol. We had 1 decent weapon, with a sh*ttyy line.  I pulled bellow from two different articles about Morton. I know I read one that had Bowles saying he wants to run the ball more.

There were several times Bowles made offensive suggestions to Morton, to which the coordinator wouldn't comply. Bowles wasn't a fan of Morton's pass-happy scheme, especially in short-yardage situations. Despite repeated requests to rely on the run game more, Morton never did.

There was also a frustration with Morton’s pass-happy play-calling. The offensive line and Bowles both had issues with Morton going away from the run. Things got particularly tense after a 25-20 loss Oct. 29 to the Falcons. The game was played in a torrential rainstorm and the game plan was to run the ball, but Morton veered away from that and passed 33 times while running just 22.

Morton also resisted suggestions from Bowles and others on the staff about how to get the running game going, sources said.

The skill players on offense felt he only schemed for Anderson and everyone else was a check-down option. Anderson was targeted 114 times this season, the most on the team.

Think Kearse has to be the favorite. Enunwa definitely in the mix when healthy.

I'd pick the starting TE as a dark horse, McCown loves the TE and also a great security blanket for a rookie QB if Darnold starts, but I have no clue who is going to start at TE. Frankly Herndon's the only one I'm very confident will be on the roster. Could see any two or maybe three of the other five making a push. One of the more wide open positions across the board on the team. Should be fun to follow this summer.

when a team has an unreliable passing attack and not so great defense they need to be able to use ball control.  that means running the ball.  many people think it's a pass happy league and get fixated on brady throwing a ton or matty ice but if those teams don't run they don't win.  and considering the atlanta game, the jets were up, a good running effort may have forced atlanta to run out of time.

and morton was predictable and unimaginative on pass plays.  targeting anderson 114 times?  he may be a very good player in the making but he sure didn't deserve that much attention.  and don't forget they went away from asj during the second half of the season.

If Anderson gets the help he needs and can keep his head on straight, he will easily lead this team in receptions.  He is the most talented offensive player we have by far.

Second, Saviour Sam is now the man!

Anderson was the ONLY player on the offense that would be a starter on most team. That is horrible. Morton should have got coach of the year for what he got out of this offense. No line, bellow ave rbs. Josh McCown was on pace for 4K passing yards ! ?. He threw twice as many tds as picks. Jenkins dropped two easy tds alone in 1 game. You can’t have a strong running game behind 1 of the worst lines in NFL. With bellow ave running backs.

Morton had no choice to have McCown first look to Anderson. It’s not rocket science. Look for the homerun gun with speed who is going deep, before you check down and hit the short receiver. If the D plays aggressive thinking a run is likely they will put 7-8 up front. That guards against run and short passes. If they play back the short passes will be open, as will the run. Knowing Bowles is going to want to run a ton and play conservative is going to bring the D right on top of the predictable conservative play calling. It will be rex Ryan/tony sparano all over again.

This team needs a pleasant surprise from a mid-late round pick. They actually need a few, so I'm going w Leggett. Maybe Hansen. I haven't seen anything from Stewart that suggests he's an NFL WR imo.

Wouldn’t count on anything from those duds

I’m hoping Herndon plays competently at TE for us
