Sam Darnold is our Quarterback. Let that sink in.....Sam Darnold is our QB.

Even when when we traded to Pick 2 months ago, Sam Darnold did not seem an option.

So I convinced myself that Mayfield was best QB in draft because it seemed like we were going that way.

But we got Darnold. Having done a ton of investigation since then, I am convinced that not only is Darnold the best QB prospect in this draft, but the best since Andrew Luck, and that his absolute floor is Top 20 QB in the NFL and ceiling is the best QB in the NFL.

I have never been so excited for a season before. I am even considering getting a Sam Darnold jersey. I have not had a Jersey since Namath.

Just let it sink in: Sam Darnold is the Jets franchise QB.

totally right although mayfield was only attractive (to jets fans) because darnold was deemed unavailable.  this was such a great pick for the jets.  it almost wipes away the past 20 seasons of futility in getting a really good player, especially a qb.

I'm in the same boat. 

Didn't really look into Darnold because I was dead certain that he'd be gone in the first two picks. Talked myself out of him. Since the Jets grabbed him, I'm 100% on board. I don't want the team to rush him, but I also can't wait to see him play. Haven't been this excited about the team since they were up 10-0 on the Broncos in the AFCCG at halftime. Don't ask me how that turned out.

When Jets Fans aren't busy giving up on the season in May for some far off future where we might have a chance, they're busy getting massively hyperbolic about their current players to levels never before seen by the eyes of man.

How about we just let Sam be Sam, and see what he has for a bit before we declare him the next blah blah with a ceiling of greatest QB who ever lived, mkay?

Reading this forum some days is akin to living with a person with manic depression.  One thread, HUGE HIGH BESTEST EVER CAN'T MISS NEXT LUCK!!!  One thread, WAIT TILL 2025 BECAUSE WE SUCK TILL THEN CAUSE TOM BRADY AND STUFFFFFFF!!!!!

I'm psyched about Darnold but keeping my optimism in check until see him play. If he is improving week to week in TC and PS games that could be somewhat telling of what his future holds. Not getting ahead of myself but this is a 3 year observation to come to a conclusion...

Yeah, I'm happy you're so excited, but I think this front office doesn't know what it's doing and they'll ruin this kid.

Excitement = Wow, we got Darnold.  Didn't expect that.  He's a good solid QB prospect.  It'll be really exciting to see how he does when he starts taking pro snaps!  Yay, something to look forward to at QB! \\:D/

Hyperbole = Darnold IS the next Luck, just better.  Clearly a top 5 QB, maybe best to play the game in this era!  Worst he can be, six-time Super Bowl champ who eats Dan Marino's for breakfast and sh*ts out Tom Bradys.  With luck, 14 Super Bowls in 15 years could be a thing!  Hype train is chugging down the tracks! :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

Reread your OP, and tell me which category it falls into.
