How bad is offseason NFL info?

I don't know how you guys feel but offseason NFL info is probably as painful as seeing Jetster has started another thread. Have any of you watched NFL Total Access or Good Morning Football on NFL network? HORRIFICALLY PAINFUL to watch.

Ex jocks, a few Milfs and some fantasy nerds trying to see how much inane sh*t they can jam down your throat. These shows seem to be more about their stupid wardrobes than information you care to hear about your particular team. Lindsey Rhodes moves around on the set like she just snorted a huge line of Coke.

Rapsheet, we hear that Sam Darnold threw a football today in OTAs, what's the over under on games before he starts? Well Lindsey, Sam did throw the ball & it was caught on the other end, so I'm thinking it should be after their 1st quarter of tough games. By the way Rapsheet, what's the over under on everyone on the set wearing the same stupid pair of those hideous sneaker shoes with the white soles & horizontally striped socks? Well Lindsey, since we're all a bunch of morons, I'd say pretty damn high. UGH.

You leave Lindsey Rhodes alone. She can snort as much nose candy as she wants.

I didn't say she wasn't hot, in fact I would imagine she looks real good in the raw, but she moves around on that set like she's getting shock therapy while she hosts the show.

Here is a list of shows that would have my attention over that dog and pony show: spongebob, Sanford n son, friends, Sesame Street, Mr Rogers - well not that one, Star Trek, top 10 games with names, Law and Order, Flintstones, Get Smart, Bevis and Butthead, The Kardashians and many many more. Yes the girl is hot but if I wanna take a nap I put on that show and turn off the volume.

Rich Cimini ESPN Staff Writer

The Jets have signed fourth-round pick Chris Herndon, a tight end from Miami. Only one draft pick remains unsigned — Sam Darnold.

Chris Herndon - TE -  Jets

Jets signed fourth-round TE Chris Herndon to a four-year contract.

Per PFF College, Herndon caught 35-of-43 slot targets in 2017, leading all college tight ends with an 81.4% catch rate when targeted inside. Herndon tore his MCL in Miami’s regular-season finale and was unable to test before the draft. An adequate blocker and good enough athlete for an H-back role, Herndon offers some Charles Clay-like traits as a catch-first tight end. The Jets have one of the weakest tight-end corps in the league, so Herndon could get a chance to contribute early. He's still completing his recovery from his college knee injury.

These shows are awful because they're trying to make drama (for ratings) out of non-stories.  Just like those writers who put out "mock draft 5.0" cycling through the picks they've heard (from scouts) a team is likely to take.

Cable is jam packed with talking heads shows because they are cheap to produce and suit our short attention span social media culture

Agree the goofy games and bits have changed the definition of these show from sports to soaps - day time TV for home makers

Rodney Harrison and Teddy Bruschi make me nauseous

On the flip side, is there any other sport where you’re actively watching coverage of it outside of that sport’s season? Anyone watching MLB network in January?

I don’t watch MLB network in October

Football predictions in the offseason are ridiculous. Injuries change everything in this sport. What would have been the odds before last season started that the Giants would have the 2nd pick in the draft?

Is there anyone here that believes for one second that the Patriots are strong enough to lose Brady & go 11-5 like they did with Cassel in 2008?

Thats why I go into each year with some optimism. And that was before we had a legitimate QB to lead us. If Sam Darnold turns out to be a quick study, that will excite the entire team & no one knows how that will turn out in 2018. That's why the NFL is so popular.

Agree with a lot of what you say. I just prefer to set my expectations lower for the sake of my overworked heart. If Darnold starts the second half and shows poise and growth, successful season for me. More is gravy.

.... a few Milfs.....

The gal from Good Morning Football is a goddess in human form.

Other than that, why is anyone watching/listening to NFL stuff in late May ffs?

Come back in July where, you know, stuff actually starts happening again.

Good to hear. I hope he's better than Clay who has been pretty much a bust here with the Bills. Definitely not living up to his contract.
