Unfortunately, if he's good enough to start (and win) then he's going to be unaffordable in 2019. How good would Bridgewater have to be to consider franchising him? I don't think Teddy would sign extension with Sam on the roster. Hopefully that's the problem we have in 2019. The Jets are going to have another 90-100 million in cap space next year so they could easily franchise Bridgewater while they arrange a trade 4

We have more cap space than any other team next year we could afford to keep him if we wanted obviously it is not a good option or a likely one but there is always an option to trade darnold if they think Bridgewater was our franchise guy. Would be far more likely for us to trade bridge this season thoughSent from my [device_name] using http://JetNation.com mobile app

Patriot Killa
Darnold’s best throw of the day comes in 7-on-7. After a dropped ball turns into a Williamson INT, he comes back and delivers on the money with a back-shoulder toss to Robby Anderson. #Jets #OTAs — Eric Allen (@eallenjets) May 22, 2018

If he's out there carrying the team every week and putting the team in position to win, putting up points, etc. And if he's playing that great, I would assume playoffs are in the picture. He can't play well one week and then flop the next. That's not give anyone confidence. 1

Barkus
Teddy looks really good in these clips. Moving around fine and his passes are right on point. Hack threw behind the RB on the swing pass drill, he might be cut before training camp starts.

As long as he's healthy we should play him to drive up his value and not rush Darnold.
