A new indignity: the 2018 Jets are the worst team on Madden

Were these ratings created before or AFTER we signed Antonio Garcia?

They rated us at 72 after Bowles announced McClown will be the starter since he gives us the best chance to win.

Ehh..after my eyes were opened to the wonderful experience of NBA2K, I realize Madden games were such a huge sh*t stain. EA is trash.

This really isn’t such a huge surprise. We have lingered around the bottom at 73-75 overall for years and years. Figures we’d hit rock bottom with a 72.

EA $8.58 Billion in assets. Yea they are such a failure. Madden was legendary when it first came out. It’s become stagnant over the years but they release it every year almost like a homage to the impact it first had in the game industry.  They make tons of other great series. EA  was a pioneer in sports video games and were founded before you were born.

Just like last year, this is nonsense.

Last year all the scribes were saying one or two wins, Vegas O/U was 4 1/2.  Jets won 5.

Month or so ago checked the Vegas line think it was 6 1/2.  I expect the same thing, 7-9 wins

Well I personally don’t like many of EA’s games.

Use to. Just feels like roster updates now.

New York Jets: Madden NFL 19 top player ratings announced, Johnson tops list

LOS ANGELES, CA - JANUARY 06: Trumaine Johnson (Photo by Sean M. Haffey/Getty Images)

Video gamers, the release is coming! Madden NFL 19 will be here before you know it. It’s always a big time for football fans and gamers. Gamers are getting ready to play it when it drops and fans like to debate about the player ratings. That is where we are back once again as there have been more leaks on the ratings front, New York Jets fans.

Earlier this week we brought you the team ratings. Now we have some of the players. Specifically, top players on each team have been leaked. Even though the Jets team rating was very low, they had some high individual player ratings. Trumaine Johnson led the way with a 91 rating. Have a look at the top ratings for the team:

As of the writing of this post we don’t have the entire roster to share.

Putting Johnson at the top of the list makes sense. Being one of the crown jewels of free agency and one of the few remaining “shutdown” corners, he deserves a high rating. He is in the prime of his career with 18 interceptions over his first six seasons. He is off-paper one of the best players on the team so giving him the highest rating on the team.

Avery Williamson is going to surprise everyone that isn’t familiar with him, so the 83 is reasonable. Basically he is a younger version of Demario Davis. That may be one of the underrated acquisitions of the off-season. Due to the versatility of Jamal Adams I could have justified giving him a couple more ratings points, putting him around an 85. The lack of interceptions in 2017 would contribute to his lower rating.

Robby Anderson is underrated. He is one of the top deep threats in the game at the present and he finished just under 1,000 yards in 2017. Had Josh McCownplayed every game he would have cleared 1,000 yards easily. It’s not his fault that Bryce Petty couldn’t play and Christian Hackenberg not being worth any snaps. His seven touchdowns tied him for fifth most in the NFL in 2017. He deserved a higher rating.

This again goes to the disrespect the Jets receive nationally. They are always looked at poorly on a national scale. Hopefully as they perform the ratings will change for the future downloads.

Since when is 5 wins something to get all goo goo ga ga about. Of those 5 wins, 3 were gift wrapped- Chiefs, Jags, Browns should have been losses. In essence,  Jets won 2 of the 5 outright.

As far as this year goes, it’s all contingent on who the QB is. If it’s all McClown, then 5 wins is an achievement.  If Darnold gets in there and plays well as a rookie like Watson or Prescott did, we could win 10!

LOL

Who's goo goo ga ga?  Merely stated a fact.   And no, the Jets didn't win " 2 of the 5 outright"  They won 5 of 16 outright.  Yep, sucky season, but it's still 500% more wins then the scribes were giving the Jets.  Vegas was right, scribes were wrong.

If you had played the under, I can guarantee you they wouldn't cash your ticket because "Jets won 2 of the 5 outright"

Maybe we should be last? As bad as I hate to say it, because I love this team...we havent made the postseason since 2010. Its 2018 now. We also have the worst head coach in the league. ☹

But perhaps the best young QB ?

The problem with these prognostications is that we assume that the teams on our schedule are so far superior to our own team which is total BS.

Parity is real in this league & most games turn on one or two plays. This is why every year there is a SURPRISE team that jumps out of the pack of the supposed losers category. If Dennison can coach the sh*t out of this Oline, and Darnold wins the starters job in camp, Jets have enough players to get it done.

While we don't have any super stars, we're deeper than a lot of teams from 1 thru 5 at WR. Anderson-Kearse-Enunwa-Pryor-Hansen, Crowell-Powell-McGuire. The biggest question mark is at TE, but if one of Leggett- Herndon rise up, Sam would have plenty of weapons.
