He was high on Chad Hansen in 2017 he called him "A graceful down field player at the point" and "super Quick" In terms of projection he said "Big-play perimeter threat with WR2 upside in man, timing, zone, vertical and red zone." in his multi year grades (where he puts all the years together) He had Hansen a rated a tick higher than Sterling Shepard and Zay Jones.

“Big play perimeter threat”

...so like all of the white slot-receivers I can think of, right?  Because moxie.

Darnold Duck is awful. Like I get it, but its just terrible. Honest to god, when I saw "Duck" I thought of Marcus Mariota. Because he was a very famous Oregon Duck. Makes more sense for him than it does to use a crappy pun that has nothing to do with anything.

My biggest fear? Bridgewater gets traded and then bounces back and becomes a great QB for another team, and Darnold turns out to be a bust... Please, somebody say something to allay my fears...

Sam is going to be a franchise QB. Bridgewater is a Bridge QB playing on one knee and spaghetti for the other. He was so wanted by the NFL, that the Jets signed him on a contract based solely on playing time and production.

Darnold is our future, Teddy is a trading chip. He's here to get something back for the lost 2019 2nd rounder, is we payed the Colts for Sam.

Oh god, not this guy again, with his boring, droning voice that makes me want to wash my face with broken glass.  He uses stupid colloquialisms like "get r done" and admits his slant is southern.

to refer to Sam as a duck, just shows his ignorance...like me saying war eagle to a Bama fan.

So Hertzian nicknames aside, the video is very good. Worth a watch.

FTR, Darnold’s motion is super weird and I’ll guarantee at some point it becomes a thing

It's not text book and one area where I disagree with Waldman is he's super high on Rosen

if just go on film and Josh Rosen was like a mute off the field he could have gone 1. He has all the mechanics and was a 5 star guy when the Duck (sure let's lean into it) was only a 4 star guy. If Josh Rosen could only call plays and never gone on social media, he'd have gone 1.

Darnold's technique is imperfect it might always be (rivers). but he does get it out fast and is good on a big stage. Plus he's not a douche-nozzle.

Sudden Sam sounds like a guy who needs to wear rubber underwear when getting a lap dance

I guess. There are different kinds of douche, though, and Rosen might be the type of entitled douche that wins (Brady). As for him dropping, I’d imagine that bagging on a president with a 98% approval rating among pasty NFL executives and 34% approval rating with the rest of humankind likely cost him in the draft, but won’t hurt him in a locker room or in society in general.

Stop listening to Joe and Evan. For starters.

He was a solid QB pre-injury but far from great.  Darnold showed far more in college and will be a much better pro, IMHO.

When Darnold played Rosen, it was Darnold who won and not because USC was so much more stacked than UCLA. Bottom line Rosen didn't win football games. His douche-ness was more Cutler than Brady.

How much do you weight this when it comes to prospects? I'm just thinking of someone like Russell Wilson, who didn't win much until he joined a good Wisconsin team, or Jared Goff, who didn't win much, period.

W-L record for QB's need context to be sure.

Jared Goff didn't win much but at least he trended upward. The team got better and he won his final bowl game.  Rosen missed his final game and the program didn't really even want him back for that game. There was a rumor Chip Kelly wouldn't have started Rosen if he had returned.

Cal's talent wasn't anywhere near UCLA's talent. Rosen played behind Kolton Miller who went top 15 and Quessenberry who was also a draft pick. Goff didn't have that kind of supporting cast.  It's not clear if Mora under coached them or Rosen poisoned the well (both?) but something went seriously wrong in that locker room.  There's a dude Soso Jomabo legit as hell RB just underused.

Also Brady, constantly referred to as th GOAT and with boatload of rings developed into a douche.  Kind of understandable.

Rosen is a bigger douche and for no good reason,
