OT. I had to put down my dog, Jetsie today.

Really sorry to hear this, free. I feel like animals have more humanity and love than 90% of humans do. They are innnocent and pure spirits and so it hurts me that Jetsie passed.

Dogs are family members and losing one hurts just as much. My thoughts are with you, brother.

Hey guys I'm sorry to clutter the bored during training camp. But some of you have been my fake Internet friends for a long long time and I just felt like I had to let you know that I had to put down my dog Jetsie today.  Poor girl deteriorated pretty quickly on me and I'm pretty tore up. Give your little furry buddies an extra hug for me today.

So sorry for your loss, man.  We lost this little guy a few years ago.  He was my first dog, and I couldn't believe how painful it was to lose him.  It still hasn't completely gone away, but it has gotten better.

I'm sure what happened today was devastating, but you did right by her.  She's somewhere now, feeling no pain and thinking how lucky she was to share her life with you.  Hang in there.

Rest in Peace Jetsie:

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Sorry for your loss, worst freaking part of owning any animal. Had to put my Rotty down a few years ago. We were lucky, we have a friend who is a vet assistant and she came over to do it. We gathered the family and all said goodby and she was put down in my lap.
She now sleeps above my head in her cremation box.
