Jets, Redskins Involved in Massive Multiplayer Fight at Training Camp Practice

Tempers flared Sunday during a joint practice between the New York Jetsand Washington Redskins.

According to the Associated Press' Stephen Whyno, a Jets player made late contact on Washington right tackle Morgan Moses. From there, players from both teams got into a shoving match. At one point, the players were pushing toward the assembled fans on the sideline (note: Videos contain profanity):

USA Today's Mike Jones added that Washington left tackle Trent Williams was "throwing haymakers."

The skirmish may have come at a cost for Washington. Bleacher Report's Master Tesfatsion reported Moses was ushered off the practice field and was limping on his right leg. The 27-year-old underwent ankle surgery in January.

The Jets and Redskins will meet Thursday at FedEx Field in the second week of the preseason.

There were rumors that a fight would break out between these two teams centered around Terrelle Pryor who some Wash players dislike a lot. And think the HC game him a pass last year in training camp and Pryor took a pass the entire season. It looks like on the surface it didn't involve Pryor but there are players on the Redskins who reportedly can't wait to get a chance to even things out with him on the field. Pryor doesn't have a history of character as we saw during his Ohio State days.

Well with all the talking leading up to this scrimmage how was this not expected? Guys were running their mouths for some time so I don't find this surprising. Now it looks like it will continue into the game on Thursday. Look for the Refs to be calling it tight in that one.

I wonder who was the jets player who supposedly made "late contact"

Trumaine Johnson, allegedly.

Well, that's better than some of our old CBs like Kyle Wilson who never made any contact with offensive players....even during games.
