Which On-The-Bubble Players From Other Teams Do You Want?

Field Yates‏ @FieldYates

Players with four accrued seasons in the NFL that are released will become free agents immediately. Those with less than four years of tenure will be subject to waivers, giving other teams the chance to claim them.

Here's who i've got my eyes on:

RB: (don't think we're settled with Crowell/Powell/Cannon)

  • Jeff Wilson (SF) UDFA from N. Texas... much love
  • Kapri Bibbs (WSH)... underrated COP back
  • Mike Gillislee

OLINE:

  • Jylan Ware (OT) w/ Oak... worth a look
  • Chance Warmack (OG)

DLINE:

  • Kony Ealy
  • Bronson Kaufusi

Personally I would like it if they can find another player named Charcandrick

Ian Rapoport‏ @RapSheet

As cuts come into focus, the #Raiders are shopping former second round pick DE Mario Edwards, I’m told. They’ve been frustrated by him. A sign he’s on the bubble.

Nevermind....

WEAKNESSES

Ineffective as pass rusher. Played some stand-up defensive end in college and showed no explosiveness off snap. Play speed and fire go missing from pass rush. Hand usage is hit or miss and appears to lack power with hands. Inconsistent getting arm extension, limiting ability to control and dominate a snap. Too involved in hand fighting and plays through a straw, losing sight of ball carrier.

SOURCES TELL US

"I think conditioning and desire are a big problem for him and they go hand in hand. He just looks content to stay blocked by lesser players, and it is so frustrating to watch because you know he has the talent to be so much better." -- AFC West scout

Josh Dobbs (PIT) would be an intriguing option as a third QB now that Bridgewater is gone.  The Steelers aren't keeping him (they've got Landry Jones and just drafted Mason Rudolph) but he's looked good in preseason action

I like this idea. Dobbs is a smart guy with some talent.

I think is possible that Greg Senat gets cut by Baltimore simply because they have a glut of offensive lineman.  He is a former basketball player, played 2 years of lower level college football, but projects as a possible LT.  I can see how he could be worse then Qvale.

Im also interested to see how Dozier graded out last night.  He played LT and could (I guess) be an option to backup that spot?  Here is what Draft Insider had in their initial report on him:

Dozier is an athletic prospect who would be a good fit in a zone-blocking scheme or one which puts him in motion. He needs to improve his overall playing strength but is a small-school player with starting potential in the NFL."m:

Senat was my go to in every 7 round mock i partook in during the off-season lol.??

The #Colts have informed DE John Simon that he’s been released, per ⁦‪@PerrettM‬⁩. They shopped him for a few days.

Adding Simon, Michael Johnson (CIN) and Kihaha (NO) would be a cheap way to

improve the pass rush

Freak beast Ryan Nall might shake out in Chicago. I drafted him in my amazing JN Mock earlier this year that @JiF attacked but now looks like a fool.

This is your low point.   Feeing the need to validate my criticism through the preseason?

Baltimore parted ways with defensive end Bronson Kaufusi

In training camp, Kaufusi has been employed as more of a stand-up rusher off the edge, which appears to suit his game. He was appreciative of the coaches’ decision to adjust his role.

“That’s one of the things I love about being here,” he said. “The coaches are trusting me and putting me in a position to make plays, and I feel I’ve really done well this summer.”
