Alright...after a LONG wait. We get a chance to totally redeem ourselves and upset Jacksonville. I know many of us are sour on the Jets right now or at least certain aspects of this team(cough cough...Todd Bowles).

Until we are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, we need to root hard for the players of this team. You NEVER KNOW in this league.

Once things start to “click” for Sam, who knows what can happen. He and the team may catch fire at the right team. This team’s fate rests squarely on his shoulders and we owe it to him and the players to be good fans and stand behind them. It’s only week 4! Let’s kick the sh*t out of these Jacksonville P*ssies!!!

Big game today. BIG. I like the Jets chances today for some unfathomable reason. I think We surprise 'em an pull out a huge win. Jets 24 Jax 7.

I hope you're right....I'm just not sure I see it.  I think the Jaguars got their wakeup call last week vs. Tennessee.  They will come out sharp and focused...and they'll have Fournette back.  It will be tough but I'll go along with you....   Jets 23, Jags 21.

These numbers continue to be very telling.  I'm not suggesting they should be different but you can see where the defensive philosophy sits with Todd Bowles.

We start 3 DLinemen in the 3-4.  He has 5 bodies.

We start 4 LBs....but often only 3 as Bowles employs an additional CB or Safety.  He's got 9 guys for those 4 (sometimes 3) spots.

We "start" 4 DBs....although employ 5 or more very often.  He's got 12 guys there......12.

As Rex used to call it, we use a "multiple" defense.  It's not a 3-4, it's not a 4-3, and it's often a 3-3-5.  But the numbers don't lie about what kinds of resources Bowles wants at his disposal during a game.  15 guys labeled as DL or LB for the "Front 7."  Another 12 behind them.

Lee needs to watch out for the QB scramble. When Bortles lost confidence in his passing ability last year, he tried becoming Michael Vick.

I can see 3rd and longs being dangerous because we will have great coverage and then Bortles will just run for the first down. Gotta have a spy at the 1st down marker that’s ready to pounce when he runs.

I'm not worried. Blake Bortles is no Ryan Tannehill.

Look their offense is not any better than ours. We could have that advantage over them even with Fournette returning. They scored only 6 points against Tenn last week. Their Qb although improved is average. The Jets have the better Qb. The Jags have the better defense one of the best in the league. But imo our D is maturing and can play well against the Jags O unless TOP is bad and there are many 3 and outs. The key to this game in the early stages is if our offense can move the ball and put at least some points on the board. And try to keep our D off the field as much as possible. It could end up being decided by the usual: penalties and turnovers. They are the home team but we've been competitive in all 3 games. Jets by 3.
