@The Crusher

See? This is why I wanted to wait until the game was over! lol.

Strip sack Fumble on Mayfield

Oh, and he started with a pick-6.

Personally, I'm not lauding him with much more credit than Sam. I am, however, acknowledging his situation is far better.

it's like going 1-32 and passing on Wentz and Goff was all part of the plan to accumulate all this ungodly talent, draft an undersized spunky QB with intangibles, and unleash them on a hapless Gruden team.

lol, well done.

i would point out that Dorsey has only been there 1 year, and he brought in more effective talent in that year than Mac/Bowles/Idzik/Rex did over the past 6 years.

You're not watching the game, you're chasing stats.

The fact that you're talking about the pick 6 tells me you dont know why that pick 6 happened.

I'll continue on with crusher.

I love how Some fans are now sucking off mayfield after 1 game. Forget the fact that he has a better team around him, a much better oline and weapons. Better play calling .  He is also two years older so he may be a bit t better at first but his ceiling may not be as high.  Despite all the crap Sam has to deal with he has still shown good things that show he has a good future. Can we actually see Sam when he has a NFL team built around him before declaring Baker Tom Brady please?

Dont be so critically dramatic. The pick 6 was on Callaway slipping on the turf and the ball popping off of both hands. The pass was literally catchable even though he slipped on the turf. Callaway dropped the pass.

The throw was late and inaccurate

According to some Jets fans, the browns now have the best roster, receivers, defense, and Oline in the NFL. Anything to make excuses for Sam. I thought the browns were 0-16 last year.

But that’s not what there saying at all. He has solid team built around him he damn sure isn’t running for his life on every play.

Nobody is making excuses. But you aren’t being fair either

It doesnt take a genius to see he has much more time to throw than Darnold. Also Darnold doesnt have Jarvis Landry.

Are you actually paying attention to what's going on? Or are you just an extreme pessimist?

If you can't see the Browns have a fairly respectable roster, your opinion shouldn't be taken very seriously.

Exactly. Baker could **** 3 hookers and still have time to throw the ball compared to the time Sam gets lol

No, I saw. QBs have to own their stats, regardless of circumstances.

Arguing that it's okay, because: circumstances - LOL - reminds me of all the batsh*t arguments you used to make about: should-have-been-interceptions.

I actually like Baker. So, I'm going to forfeit this opportunity to push you off the deep end and get you to spend 4 months spiraling in the center of absurd QB-crush debate. I'm positive someone else will jump on the chance though.

I know exactly what he said.

The way it comes across to me is a smarmy way to build Mayfield up and take a shot at Darnold by saying everyone is overvaluing how good the Browns roster is(when I don't see many, if any doing that)

I just left two weeks worth of Jets threads doing the same thing for Darnold. Okay....

Explaining stats doesn't mean that you're not owning stats. It just gives clarification for those who aren't watching, but only type with their fingers when they see an opportunity to hate.

But this reminds me of all of the batsh*t arguments I made that you made sure to participate in given that you're equally as invested...well, outside of actually watching the games that is.

Have the last word

Doesn't matter what it comes across as, it matters if the statement is factual which it is. Jets fans are talking as if this wasn't a team that was 1-31 over the past 2 seasons, but was battling for AFC supremacy.

Certain portion of Jet fans:

"Let's get a young QB and develop him!!!!!!!!!!!!"

4 games later

"This guy sucks balls and let me tell you all about some other guys who are good"

With fans like this, honestly, maybe you hope he DOES suck, so they can wallow in the misery of their losing team for another 5 years, minimum.

Wish we could see everyone’s pre draft board re: QBs

Pre-draft

1. Rosen (by a large margin)

2. Mayfield (edged over...)

3. Darnold

4. Jackson

5. Allen

Post draft I really fell in love w Darnold and I don’t think it was fan bias but who knows. Mayfield in turn starting scaring the crap out me.

Mayfield still scares me long term. I just don’t see it ending well. If all things were equal I would take Darnold before Mayfield today. But this organization might just ******* kill him. Darnold and Allen are in bad spots right now with bad teams, with bad OLs and zero surrounding skilled talent.

Our fan base is pretty horrendous.  Maybe we deserve the bad luck.  Fans should be excited we have a VERY young QB who has shown good flashes despite all the roadblocks he has to deal with.  Did fans think he would be like atom Brady his first year? Hell Tom Brady would suck playing behind this oline lol

They weren't winning games the past couple years, but they've certainly been hitting on more draft picks. If you want to talk facts, then that's one you should consider.
