Exactly. We're all adults, and adults should be allowed curse. Heck, for that matter the vast majority of teenagers curse, and you should be at least 13 years of age before you're posting on an internet forum anyway, so I absolutely don't buy the notion that we have to protect the "children" who come on this site, because 1) they shouldn't be on here if they're that young, and 2) if they're old enough to go to public school, you better believe there's nothing we can say that they haven't heard before.

I'm fine with the 200,000 thread being shut down. I mean, it sucks (is "sucks" a curse word now) but it doesn't bother me that much. But I'm a naturally loose-lipped kinda guy with cursing, so it's not gonna be easy, especially on here. I'd rather not end up getting banned just because I have a few accidental lapses in self-censoring myself.

For the record, I don't @Maxman. I blame the stupid snowflake advertising companies for this pure act of censorship. I've seen them do this crap on Youtube, censoring inane things deemed "inappropriate" with no basis at all, and de-monetizing them.

I'm gonna stop myself there before I go into full-rant mode. Despite how pissed I am out being censored, I fully support Phil and this site, and I will not willfully resist the new rules. I also apologize in advance for the future times when I'm sure to slip up. And, I would be happy to donate a few dollars here and there to the site when I can.

Dude I'm as guilty as anyone else when it comes to cursing. So you write flippin' instead of the obvious. Whats the big deal? Honor the site that gives you so much back. Thats the way I look at it. I guess because I live out of state and this is where I get the bulk of my Jets info I value it highly. Imagine if it wasn't here. I bet weighing a few expletives against that would change your mind. Just sayin'.

As Warfish was saying, it shouldn't be too hard to just add a bunch of words into the software. I'd hate to see people be banned, simply over a misunderstanding on what word is considered offensive.

The software won't catch a curse word in a gif.

And as @Warfish also said, the mods don't do anything around here, least of all ban people. We can barely get up the energy to warn people, but that's still probably what would happen first.

Eh, censoring 100% defeats the purpose of swearing.

We can still vent our concerns and frustrations, while honoring Max and the site. Those two aren't mutually exclusive. As I outlined in my post, I fully support Phil and the site, and I'd be willing to donate to help.

I decided to use this in place of an "eff you"/middle finger/bird gif:

Fair point. That'll be on the individual poster. But I'd figure that most swearing is done in normal text.

Thanks for the reassurance, slats. I know I'm likely worrying too much, and that the vast majority of us can and will adapt without much effort, but I like to vent, because that's what this site is about. And, who knows, perhaps if we can eliminate all the nudity, and get back on the advertisers good side, the restrictions on the language can lax a bit.

Got it, but so weird... You'd think we'd do well with advertisers like Johnnie Walker or Viagra, and I'm sure their advertising budget isn't small.:character43:

Yeah.  I bet half the guys here use some sort of premature ejaculation cream.  Bet those folks would throw a boatload of loot Max' way.

Most of my swearing is done in ******* bold Times New Roman 16 font, but the swear filter just puts normal asterisks.

Here we go... Copy and paste this list and add another prospective advertiser to the list: (or does this violate the spirit of the new rules?):getgreen:

  1. Johnnie Walker
  2. Viagra
  3. Premature Ejaculation Cream

Ugh, don't quote copy and paste, lol:

  1. Johnnie Walker
  2. Viagra
  3. Premature Ejaculation Cream
  4. Rex Ryan Callous Remover/ Almond Husk Foot Scrub
  5. Who's the largest purveyor of pork products? (We call this one a variable)

See what Max is dealing with?  These people can't follow simple instructions.

Gotta be either Hormel or Smithfield.  Definite lock to support the site.  Just ask Crusher to post some of his meat bills from his weekly ShopRite forays.  Oh man, Premio sausages would love to see the tonnage Crusher consumes weekly.

I didn't curse or post naked bodies. I followed the directions. This is also in jest and there is no intention on my part to skirt the rules otherwise going forward, not that this did. I understand Max's reasoning and couldn't agree more. Advertising pays the utility bills on this house of the Jets.  ---- Oh, you meant they couldn't follow the copy and paste directions for the list of advertisers... Well played.
