Who? Was that the C from USC?

Don't know enough about him to be upset, but when you have such poor OL talent as we have, it sucks lose any of your depth/developmental players. The simple fact that he was poached to begin with may be a sign that we had could've had something with him.

It was the center from USC whom we were overpaying so he wouldn't leave for another team.

He's a Poly kid, they tend to stay on the West Coast.  Closer to family and his community.

It's not always about money.

We're 3-3 with what looks like a franchise QB and you are whining about the amount of money we spent on a practice squad player. Classic SOJF post.

Huh. Not whining just posting a fact.

What the hell are you talking about?  He stated that the player like others on our psquaad we have been paying more than normal , yes overpaying to stop them from trotting away to other teams.

Oh yeah we are 3-3 and our stating center cannot snap work feces so no alarm to lose a C.

When you are a fringe play in this league choosing where to live is about #10 on the list of important things.

So it wasn't a comment on our ability to hold our PS guys or not? You seem to be talking out of both sides of your.....

Your thinking, doesn't mean Nico agrees with you, again, not surprising.  We have 14 Poly players at USC, a long tradition of Poly players at SC, we're very familiar with the culture and that they prefer to stay close to family.

One simple yes or no question for you Jojo.

Were we paying a premium to this practice squad player so he wouldn't leave for a different teams active roster?

Yes it is a shame that we lost a possible future contributor to our offensive line.  The team did everything possible by overpaying to try and keep him, the only other thing that they could do is promote him to the active roster but they decided he wasn’t ready enough that they felt comfortable enough to cut someone else.  Good luck to the young man going forward.

lol, wut?

Where was the whining? He just stated a fact. We were paying Falah more than a typical PS player so that he wouldn't leave for another team--which he did. Pointing that out isn't "SOJF". The fact that it happened, on the other hand, kinda is.

Stop crying SOJF. You're worse than the boy who cried wolf.

He looked brutal during the Senior Bowl practices last year.

Vikings C, Pat Elflein should be a Jet.  Taken last year in the 3rd round by Minnesota I've been highly critical of Macc for not getting that kid.

The worst C in the league a year ago and we're still carrying on how it was a gross miss not drafting him?

Making a mountain out of a mole hill. We lost him despite our best efforts. Let it go.

A little interesting side note...USC is the only school standing (D1), that has never had names on the back of the jerseys ("no player is greater than the name on the front of the jersey"), so numbers are very important.  There are also special numbers coveted by players that represent special players in the program, like #55 for Junior Seau, which can only be awarded by the HC to an outstanding linebacker.  43, 58, 51, etc, are all numbers special in the program, an honor to wear.  Most of those numbers were made famous initially by Polynesian players in our history.

Don't mind me, you can say I'm one of the USC message board historians.  Attempting to educate our young ones on our CFB history.
