no doubt the kylre brady draft pick was a real head scratcher but at least brady lasted about 8 seasons and was a decent blocker.  worse picks have been made by better coaches.  but he also drafted keyshawn and signed chrebet as a free agent.  where is the keyshawn and chrebet on this team? maybe enunwa comes close but after him not so much.

Kotite brought in talent, Parcells knew he could win right away when he came here so at least kotite contributed to future success. Bowles has literally done nothing for us

So ultimately, Kotite did much less with far more talent.  You really do have quite the knack for disproving your own arguments.

Different era and watch how much better we are next year if we get a good coach.

Once again, kotite made the playoffs and won a playoff game. The eagles first playoff win in 12 seasons.

Rich was awful, Todd is worse

That's an excellent point.  Even Rex brought in Scott (when he was pretty good) and Leonard.  Who are "Bowles's guys"?

Adams, Lee, Maye

Mac's draft picks are not what I'm getting at.  Rex transported two of his Ravens free agents to help run his defense and influence his locker room.  Parcells had his guys too (Pepper Johnson, etc) What players did Bowles influence/recruit to come here?

Not for the Jets, so 100% completely irrelevant to the discussion.

Bowles had more career Jets' wins in his first half of a season than Kotite did in his 2 years.  Bowles most certainly sucks, but the idea of trying to argue worse than Kotite is nothing other than some folks around here having about a 15 second long memory.  We constantly get to hear every single time how something is allegedly the "worst ever", which is never really true, other than the fact that the current failures are the ones that are pissing us all off the most right now, and absolutely nothing more than that.

The Jets were awful when rich took over, they lost their last 5 in 1994 after blowing that Miami lead.  The needed a huge personality to lift them up.  Rich was not that.  There was actual optimism and vet talent when Bowles took over and he has destroyed that.

The acquisition of talent, or lack thereof, is not Bowles' job.

It sounds like your real argument is that Kotite was a better GM than Maccagnan, but a worse coach than Bowles.

Kotite has also made the playoffs and won a playoff game.  Times are different now, FA was at its infancy in Kotite's years. Teams get good and bad in a hurry now.  When Todd gets fired he will be the only coach in our history that was around at least 4 years and failed to make the playoffs

I don't care what any coach does before or after the Jets. As the coach of the Jets, Kotite edges Bowles in being bad.

Kotite did a nice job acquiring talent, yes better than Macc and he was a similar coach to Bowles.  Bowles is not in charge of acquiring talent but he has a say and he has the chance to develop players which he clearly is not doing.

ok, that's fair but they are on the same level even as just jets coaches. Todd may be slightly higher but not by much. both inept and Todd has done things we haven't seen since Rich.
