JET FANS ARE AMAZING

TMAC

Recommended Posts

It astonishes me that any Jet fan would actually consider going to the game against the Patriots on Sunday considering their performance this season.  I tip my cap to anyone who does go and is able to endure the stench that is almost certain to emanate from Giants Stadium. (It is the Giants' Stadium).  I greatly admire Jet fans who have endured decades of frustration and still bleed green.  These are the folks who forced idiot Woody Johnson to can John Idzik, whose wanton dismantling of the team, (solely to destroy any chance Rex Ryan had to keep his job), was nothing less than criminal.  What angers me most is that it is now impossible for me to watch more than two minutes of a game without wanting to destroy my TV set or vomiting.  I am thankful for RedZone which I only have to turn off when the team opposing the Jets is in the RedZone.  (The Jets are either never in the RedZone or only in it after the game is out of reach so you rarely see that.)  I love professional football played at a high level and am grateful that I get to see teams like the Saints, Chiefs, Rams, Chargers, Bears and others demonstrate what can actually be accomplished when you have a GM that knows talent and coaches that know how to get the best of their personnel.  Unless the Jets make radical changes in the offseason (which for the Jets has already begun), it will be more of the same.  Unfortunately, I do not believe the Johnson's are capable of making intelligent decisions. (Not even sure if they actually care.)  They will probably fire Bowles but keep the GM.  Then in a year or two, they will fire the GM and keep the coach.  Doing the same stupid thing over and over again but expecting a different result.  Anyway, to those who go on Sunday, good luck.  Miracles do happen.

I just made a tee time for 1pm on the dot.

Why?  Because I want to enjoy my Sunday.  This last Sunday, I played 18 holes in the morning and surfed for 3 hours in the afternoon.  It was great.

I just cant do anything else when the NY Jets are playing I need to see firsthand how they will fail or succeed.

Agree 150% with the OP. I have not watched more than 2 minutes of any game since the 2015 week 17 Buffalo debacle. I simply cannot keep my attention on such boring spew and refuse to pour my emotion, heart, soul, liver, basil ganglia, and missing gall bladder into a team that can never get out of it's own way and you know what? My life is better without it! Who needs to watch the moron stand on the sideline contemplating the creation of the universe while our opponents score td after td and we go 3 & out every series.

The sad thing is this team is not that bad they just get quit.

Thanks, TMAC, but just to set the record straight once the new stadium deal was done it is not Giant stadium, it is Met Life stadium and I would say equal between the 2 teams since even though the Giants have had some additional SBs compare to the Jets, they really haven't been a better team over the recent past.

Originally I actually believed this thread would be devoid of the fire Our regime BS that is in almost every single thread on this site. No dice I guess.

I will say that if the fans didn’t brave the freezing cold this weekend and left that stadium Completely empty it would send a message. We won’t do that though. A lot of people will still be there actually rooting for a jets win like fools.

Then again, a lot of people really don’t care about things like us tards on a jets message board. They are just getting out of the house for a big stadium event where they bring thermoses of hot cocoa and clap in a muted fashion with gloved hands. It will be a great day win or lose for the casual fan.

God I hate those people. lol.

I got blasted for "strongly suggesting" that fans not go to this game.

This might be a rare instance when Belicheat takes his foot off the gas of a big lead if they get one.  I would imagine he wants to ensure a 2nd game against the "we surrender" punting wonder Todd Blowes this season.

The credit for "Todd Blowes" belongs to @jack48

BB would love nothing more than to lay 50 on us and if it happens it happens.

If it happens I hope the Johnson brothers have the balls to fire Bowles immediately following the  game and put MM on notice.

This would certainly grab the headlines something the Johnsons are all about..

Well when you know without a doubt know they're going to fail and how they're going to fail, it kind of takes the surprise element out of it.

Agree the more nut kicks I experience the better it will feel when they win the big one... or at least I hope the hypothesis is one day proven true!

YES fans in attendance who paid good money to be there need to vent and show they are pissed.

Public humiliation all fans going to the game make a sign FIRE MACC AND BOWLES.

I was at week 17 in 1996.  The fire Kotite banners were everywhere. It made a difference

I hope every single season ticket holder sold their tickets to a NE fan for double what they paid.   Let ol Chris see a sea of pats jerseys in stadium.

The Johnson brothers can careless the ticket money is already in their bank accounts.

This is so not fair to the loyal diehard season tickets holders that other fans purposely sell their tickets to an opposing teams fans.

Do away with the PSL fee and fill those seats with diehard fans like myself who was there every game regardless of the time, weather, opponent, win or loss record.

Sane people, 2009: Wow you’d have to be crazy to buy a PSL with this franchise.

Real Jets Fan, 2009: $20k is nothing when adjusted for inflation! Just you wait until I’m front and center for our many playoff runs!

Sane people, 2018: Who’s going to the Pats game?

Real Jets Fan, 2018: I can no longer afford to not be in attendance to watch Josh McCown play quarterback in a 40 point blowout my children are starving please help.

I’m heading out to the casino with my mom and Dad. They are old, they  like day gaming. Mrs Crusher and the boys are with her sister and her kids snow skiing in Cortland.

Upstate till Sunday then driving home. I will reluctantly check my phone for updates . Maybe

If you hate us so much find another site.

I paid for my tickets I haven't missed a game in forever.

Bowles is getting fired so you can do whatever the hell you want with your time.

I will be there rooting for the young talent on this team.

What will never allowed here is for people to personally attack and name called jets fans simply for rooting for this team.

Green bean PMed me so I read this thread again. I'm unlocking it but I want to say:

1. Calling jets fans fools is never going to be allowed here

2. We are a fan site, rooting for the Jets to win is what we are always going to do.

Adding lol after saying you hate someone really doesn't change the message.

I shouldn't have to read that I am an idiot for using tickets I already paid for. That isn't cool

Hard to root for an organization that isnt honest with the fanbase. This Darnold stuff is absurd. No one is buying this injury. You can do this when you;re winning.

I'm not happy about how the team is being run at all. The JetNation tweets are a good indication of that

I just don't think I should be called names for going to the games.
