I'm undecided on Gase. There are some things that I like about him and some things that I don't like. Worth an interview.

I feel the same.   I think he was slightly handcuffed with the Dolphins becasue of Tannehills injuries the last 2 years

I wouldnt be super excited for him, but we could definitely do worse.

For what its worth, ive heard he is in the top 5 of their candidates that they like (not just the 7 they have scheduled interviews with) i would prefer gase to the likes of kingsbury or monken personally.

his record in division has been pretty decent:  2-4 against the pats (splitting the last two years)  5-1 against the jets, and 3-3 against the bills.   In fairness that organization in miami is a mess too, tannenbaum has made some real head scratching moves over the past few years, and they really havent had the best talent.  Let alone never have a healthy quarterback.

Adam Gase? Hmm.. don’t know if I like him more than Monken as an offensive mind but he’s definitely higher on my list than the KC rookie offensive coordinator.

How the hell does anyone think this could be a good move for us? Gase really? The guy who refused to adjust an offense to make use of his rosters off strengths? He absolutely refused to give Drake touches...maybe because I play fantasy, I noticed it more, but this coach absolutely sucks. He didn't use his studs and just force fed others in an unimaginative offense, vanilla wafer style.

Our number 1 problem with todd bowles was him not making a game plan to use the players and strengths we have...arguably the number 1 reason, there are like 10 others that we could discuss but it is a big one. BUt really we feel like this guys wouldn't do the same run on 1st and second down every damn play. Make no adjustments ever..

Yeah no lets bring in this toolbag...god damn jets if we make him the next coach we deserve the L's. I hate all of you that like this guy.

PLEASE NO TO THIS TARD as our coach!!!

Not that this is breaking new ground here, but this the first time for Chris Johnson and Macc to be going through this process. It's actually pretty smart for them to be interviewing as many guys as possible.

Great point - if they ask the right questions they can learn something about what worked and did not work in his past and an outside look at the Jets

He checks a few boxes in that he was a HC, even if for only 3 years.  He's a HC from the O side of the ball.  He's considered one of the better young offensive minds.  He's got the endorsement of Peyton, whos career he helped resurrect as well as Cutlers in Chicago.  He took a mediocre fin team to the playoffs with nothing to speak of at QB.  This season he had a team that averaged historically low passing numbers, an all time low with Osweiler and was in contention until the end of the season.

All I know is his teams play hard and we could do a lot worse.

I kind of like that he does not like Ryan Tannehill--and does not hide it.  But those are not exactly head coaching credentials.

Fair enough but then you shouldn't be a fan of a coach that had to literally be forced to play Aaron Jones at RB over the plodding Jamaal Williams.

I don't hate the idea of hiring Gase, but you could see he was very frustrated down here in Miami. His defensive coordinator's were garbage. The whole Landry, Drake situation must be inquired about, that's a red flag for me. I don't know the whole story but something foul must have been brewing in that locker room.

whether we're fans of him or not know that the jets have him higher up on their list of candidates then you would think.

Guys are already getting scratched off due to some aspects not working out (no fault of ownership) .

John harbaugh was 1st on the list, followed closely by Jim, and both dont seem to be moving (although jets are privately still trying).

McCarthy right now is the number 1 guy if those two arent obtainable, and if after his interview they love him they will definitely be throwing a boat load of money at him to sign.

They want and value NFL head coaching experience, and want someone with it over and inexperienced coach.  hence why Gase is high up on the list a long with Ken Whisenhunt.

Guys I  have been posting and calling on various Jets and Pat lines and then sites for over 20 years and this racialist crap is making it distasteful to come out here.

The goal for Jets fans should be to win games. I don’t care the color of the coaches or the players whether it be be Namath or Curtis Martin. I just want them to play with passion and pride.  And I think that is true for the vast majority of us out here.....

But some of us can’t get away from a type of internal madness and it is greatly diminishing, for the first time in my life, my enjoyment of my team based on non football reasons and it is very very sad.

That is not why this site was created!!

So I am asking us for all our sanity please Iets try and come together in this a New Year of 2019 with a spirit of Compassion and yes Love before we lose not only our fandom but our humanity.

Lets Go Jets and their Fans!!!

@Maxman

Don't worry CB, Max took care of this one, at least.  :)

So I am leaving this post here as well. Just want everyone to know that he was banned for life for this.

Second post today with the same theme. Really sad.
