What the hell? Check Out This Tweet About Bieniemy

Recommended Posts

The whole thing about him not calling the plays is what already turned me off to him, but now I can't wait for the inevitable bans in this thread that are going to result from the second tweet.

Got my popcorn.

Never mind the Head Coaching interviews.  How does he keep his current job?  Guess the title "Offensive" Coordinator fits.  Upstanding Institution, that UCLA.

Football: Bieniemy to likely face questioning
Commission expected to interrogate UCLA coach about former CU job

UCLA running backs coach Eric Bieniemy is expected to be called
by the Independent Investigative Commission for questioning
regarding his experiences as an assistant coach at the University
of Colorado, the Boulder Daily Camera reported.

A group appointed by the University of Colorado Board of
Regents, the commission is investigating recent allegations that
the Buffalo football program used alcohol and sex to lure
recruits.

These allegations were brought to light after a former CU
student alleged she was raped during a recruiting party.

While at CU, Bieniemy was the leading recruiter and running
backs coach for the 2001 and 2002 seasons, during the time the
student and several others alleged they were raped by
Buffalo football players.

Bieniemy was unable to be reached for comment.

Though Bieniemy was never questioned, in several
depositions taken in 2003 for the lawsuit brought against CU, the
coach’s history at CU was mentioned in part to set a pattern
of behavior accepted by the university.

Several people were questioned if they had prior knowledge that
Bieniemy assaulted a campus parking attendant, which resulted in a
one-year ban from the Boulder campus.

Also in April 2001, just three months after being hired,
Bieniemy was arrested for driving under the influence and was
docked a month’s pay.

Bieniemy, came to UCLA with a reputation as an up-and-coming and
passionate coach and a relentless recruiter.

At the time of his hiring, UCLA coach Karl Dorrell said he was
well aware of Bieniemy’s history, but that he believed what
Bieniemy brought to the table far outweighed the risks.

With the commission not yet solidifying its list of people to
question, it is unknown whether Bieniemy will testify or have to
miss any spring practices, which begin Wednesday.

Heres what really grinds me gears about all of this stuff.

Matt Patricias "past allegations" popped up again at Detroits end of season presser. Media was really going after Detroit GM about why they hired him, and why they didn't do "extensive background checks" on him. They did. "Allegations" aren't entered in the system.

But here's my beef....Patricia broke into the NFL with.....the Patriots. But NOBODY has asked THEM if they knew they had an alleged rapist in their employ for years. Nothing. Total pass. But now that he's not protected by the Pats Mafia, 20 year old allegations from college pop up and the Lions are made to answer for his (non)crimes.

WTF?

Now, all of a sudden Eric Bienemy is a rapist woman assaulter when hes being interviewed for HC spots, but crickets previously.

C'mon man!

So, what you're saying is, The New England Patriots are the real rapists here?

2004... seriously? You went looking for something you could say was disqualifying and the best you could come up with was something from 2004?

Given he has worked continuously from then until now says what you are trying to imply is a crock...but he’s black so the implication is enough in your mind...

That is pretty good if the goal was getting yourself banned.

Let me be super clear, if you are friends with me in real life the same rules apply.

Racist jokes are not funny. Enjoy the next few months off Angelo. Take care.

Bienemy's only selling point is that he is coaches in the vicinity of Andy Reid. He has done nothing to earn a coaching job at this point. Let him get an oc job, call plays and if he can recreate Andy Reid's success then he will be ready.

Poster posts racist "joke".

I am working around the house. Trying to step away from the board for a few hours after the train wreck of racist posts we had this week and all the religious stuff last night.

I see 5 notifications about a reported racist post. I login and ban the guy who is a friend. Now I have to listen to how I am wrong because I don't get the "context".

Listen funny man, you posted a racist joke and it bombed. We are not the place for irony. This will be my last answer to you, I will not answer any texts or emails that you send.

I asked everyone to avoid this stuff, you chose not to listen.

I hope so as well. So many posts here this week have been embarrassing. I know it is a low percentage of people that cause problems, but it still is a problem. We just ask people to talk about the Jets. Yet we have had horrific posts here this week. I would shut this site down before I let stuff like that knowingly become the norm here. Even when it is a "joke" it isn't funny or acceptable. We aren't perfect when it comes to moderating this site and by design we are relaxed.

But I really do hope people just follow the few rules.

They will Max. You started this site, and you know how much a part of our Jet lives it has become. I feel for you to have to discipline people, but it is worth it to protect the valuable and great forum you have created for us.

@Gastineau Lives: "I know, right? People are so stupid. I bet they'll look something like this!" *Jumps in flailing*

I genuinely love that guy.
