JoJoTownsell1
Frank Reich just decided to fire the guy that helped rebuild the Colts offensive line. Maybe he was gifted with great talent, or maybe he is a really good Oline coach. Everyone is obsessed with Gregg Williams, but securing a great Oline coach could be just as important. Former Pats coach that Mcdaniels had hired him (which is why Reich wants him gone).

You don't fire a coach who did a great job just because he wasn't your guy originally. There's definitely more to this story then Reich is letting on. mrcoops
I remember this guy. He came in here to great acclaim, hitched his wagon to Wayne Hunter, then was quickly escorted from the building. His reputation is as a good coach, but his first stint with the Jets clearly didn't work out well.

Andrew Luck was Sacked 18 times this year (fewest in the NFL) despite attempting 644 passes (2nd most in the NFL). Either the talent on the Colts oline is beyond elite, Andrew Luck is great at avoiding pressure or this guy is a pretty good OL coach. Note: Luck was sacked 44 times in 2016. That's a ton of draft capital on the line also it should be noted the line was shredded at Kansas City. Just obliterated last week

Just obliterated last week Being the best in the league at pass protection doesn't get wiped away in one bad game. I do agree that they invested a ton in their Oline and Luck is a pretty savvy QB that when given decent protection will maneuver in the pocket and avoid a sack, but he was brought in by Mcdaniels who is no dummy and had a great year this year. We could do worse.
joenamathwouldn'tcry
Bad Fit. A football gypsy with a lot to say. Too much to say. Patriots year one, 18th in the league. Patriots year two, 30th in the league. Year here and there everywhere else. Likes to take shots at most everyone. We need/can do better. As soon as I saw this thread, I couldn't believe how short of a memory some folks have. He had his chance here, and was an unmitigated disaster. He lasted one freakin' year, and then was out of football the following year. Who knows, maybe he's learned lots since then, but his history here is not something to be fondly remembered. Yep And then he did such an awesome job with the Pats that they got rid of his ass and brought Dante Scarnecchia out of retirement. No way I want this guy. Now if Bill Callahan was available, that’s a different conversation.
Beaver
Sounds like he had some issues with some of the linemen. He called former OT Denzelle Good a failure while Good was missing time due to his brother’s death. IBeDG_71 2018-12-28 18:07 +00:00 @HolderStephen @VicTafur I’m not disappointed in how the @Colts organization treated me after my brothers death. I just had issues with one coach. I repeat, the Organization did everything in their power to help me in my time of need and I’m still very thankful to the Irsay Family, Ballard and Reich. The Colts have a good offensive line because they just added the 6th and 37th picks in the draft to a line that already had two first rounders. It isn't brain surgery. You can get what you want if you pay for it.
