Bob Sutton is still a piece of crap

Guy had some success at Army and here. But big moments are his worst. No great secrets to the Pats; you need to get to Brady, even if that opens up some underneath things. And it has to be man to man. Edlemann, Gronk and Hogan are sure-handed but not fast, they can be covered . But if you don't get in their face at the line, they kill you. Instead he rushes 3 or 4, and sits in a soft zone looking to cut off the underneath stuff. Only later in the game did he bring 5, and never really got out of the zone.

middle pressure kills Brady.  Teams rarely get to him that way though. Push the pocket , dont let him step.

As of today, no one has been able to completely shut down the Patriots.  They have a formula that works and Edelman is a keep part of the formula.  He is Wayne Chrebet on steroids.  He is unstoppable up to this point.

True, but if you absolutely want Brady to shred you, rush 4 and sit back in a soft zone. That’s been known a looooong time.

Brady is Mr. Machine.  He has to complete all the steps of his throwing process.  he barely makes good no-step or off balance passes.  He throws poorly on the move, as well.  BB provides the easy chair.  His OC provides a series of pick plays which free up ordinary receivers for him.  They are the best coached team in sports

i can't say sutton is bad.  what i saw were the outside guys failing to make chip shots on the patsie outside receivers to break up the timing.  and just how many times do we have to see edelman practically wide open over the middle.  just about everyone in the stadium knows the ball is going to edelman yet teams just don't keep coverage on the punk.

A guy I know played for Sutton back then.

Sutton is a lying piece of trash.   The guy was a semi mobile, good throwing QB.   Sutton sat in his house, and lied directly to him and his parents, about how he was going to be changing the offense and throw more.   He really just wanted a good practice squad QB so his defense could practice against a throwing QB.

Also, on the Chiefs.   A LOT of resources have gone into that O.  Which means a lot less have gone into the defense.

It's really going to hit home in the next 2 years or so, when Mahomes goes from making 4 million to 30+.    That will have a huge impact on the talent level of that offense.

Edelman is Wayne  Chrebet  with a better quarterback, a better system, and a better coach.  The steroids are a different story.

Someone has to knock Edelman off off of his routes. When he goes in motion someone has to line him up & knock his azz within that 1 yard or behind the LOS.

Edeleman had 3 receptions on the same damn play on 3rd & longer than 8, dispicable.

But your friend had the honor of attending the Point? Fair trade off.

It has worked out, no doubt.

That doesn't change the fact that Sutton came to his house, and lied directly to his face, and has families face, making promises he had no intentions of keeping.

did you watch the game ? Edelman, Gronkowski and Hogan were beating the man one on one all 4th quarter and OT.

They were unimpeded at the line; game over. If that's man, not any man that works.

Sutton may be getting canned soon:

Not the only reason they lost though. 2 turnovers to zero, and they still lost. Offense did nothing first half, Mahomes takes big yardage sacks instead of throwing it away. Plenty blame to go round.
