We better not lose out to the 49ers again. Although it sounds like the agent may be using other teams to drive up the price for the Jets. The Raiders dropped out bc of money and now all of a sudden the 49ers are in it after giving McKinnon a lot of money last year? Sounds fishy

I'm not buying the Jets are clear favorites... i'm buying that we're being used as leverage.

If Bell was offered his asking price, i'd imagine he'd have already announced his intentions... his agent is canvassing for the best deal on the best team.

NSIGNED FREE AGENT
8390.jpg

Appearing on SportsCenter, ESPN's Chris Mortensen said he's "heard" the 49ers could potentially pursue free agent Le'Veon Bell.

The Jets remain the clear favorites to land Bell, and their competition to sign him doesn't seem stiff. San Francisco and Oakland have been rumored as potential Bell suitors, but Le'Veon is a questionable fit for Kyle Shanahan's outside-zone scheme, and Oakland is believed to be strapped for cash after committing so much money to LT Trent Brown and WR Antonio Brown. Mort's nugget is notable, but it's still hard to imagine Bell ending up a 49er.

C.J. MOSLEYLB, UNSIGNED FREE AGENT
9631.jpg

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports the Browns are interested in free agent C.J. Mosley.

The Ravens want to keep Mosley but are now facing known competition from Cleveland, Washington and the Jets. More teams are surely interested. Mosley is going to fetch a colossal sum after Kwon Alexander brought home $13.5 million per season from the 49ers.

It's a good value signing. He's not gonna cost a ton but he upgrades the bottom end of our receiving corps significantly.

He'll be the starter in the slot immediately and will probably lead the team in receptions based on Gase's history.

Jets agreed to terms with WR Jamison Crowder, formerly of the Redskins.

Crowder, 26 in June, is coming off an injury-riddled 388-yard season in D.C. but has been a high-efficiency target throughout his career with a 67.1% catch rate. Jermaine Kearse -- the Jets' primary slot receiver in 2018 -- pathetically hauled in just 48.7% of his targets. Crowder will team with Robby Anderson and Quincy Enunwa in three-receiver sets, with Chris Herndon at tight end.

Wasnt he having trouble staying healthy is WAS? Hope he produces for Sam

Ankle injury...can't do much about those.  They're just gonna happen...luck of the draw.  Otherwise, no other significant injury history.

Mortensen: 49ers Potentially Interested in Le'Veon Bell; Jets Clear Favorites

ROB GOLDBERGMARCH 11, 2019

Le'Veon Bell is finally on the open market, and multiple teams are interested in signing the former Pittsburgh Steelers running back.

According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN (via Evan Silva of Rotoworld), the New York Jets are the clear favorites to sign Bell, but the San Francisco 49ers are also interested in him.

Some people in here think the Jets overpaid for Crowder but were ok with giving Barr $100 million in that fake thread. Hahaha

Yeah a player like crowder is one of the easiest to find, a player like barr rarely hits FA, 9mill for slot wr  is a lot imo.. wonder what Anderson is asking for if crowder revived 9mil

Crowder has had a better career than Anderson. Is a way more reliable route runner and receiver. Anderson, in my opinion, should and probably now won't see a second contract from the Jets. He can take his talents elsewhere and threaten cops there. And Barr isn't even the best LB in free agency and people were ok with paying him almost $20 million per year. That's an effing joke.
