On Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported the Detroit Lions were "closing in on a deal" with nickel cornerback Justin Coleman.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the contract is for four years and $36 million, which makes him the highest-paid nickel cornerback in the league.

Coleman played the last two seasons for the Seattle Seahawks and tallied a career-best 55 total tackles in 2018.

Mosley is a Perfect signing... For the people flipping out about money.... Nobody here knows how the. Contract is truly divided... Maybe the last year is like 25 Million... But this was a. Necessary piece after the Darren Lee experiment is over... Dude smoked way too much weed and didn't study film... What do you expect... Nobody was holding him accountable

Also on Paradis, he’s using someone as leverage. Either #Jets or Broncos, sounds like he’s using the Broncos to try and coax some more money out of Jets since Bills went w/ Morse Jets were bidding against themselves until the Broncos got back in it

Yep. Unless Paradis likes where he lives and doesn't want to move out of Denver. If not, he's ours. Jets will simply outbid any offer. Macc is not fooling around here.

What kind of a$$hole would prefer to live in Denver over New York?

The Jets have been BUSY.  But I'm curious about what the Colts and Browns have done with their massive cap booty.  It seems they have been quiet.  How are the Colts, in particular, planning to spend their $100MM in cap?

Let the Jets and others do their dirty work for them. Set the market for Bell, deplete their resources on other players that the Colts don't need, and come in with a big deal that nobody else can match.

Bell isn't getting some absurdly ridiculous deal that would blow Gurley's contract out of the water. Jets should still be able to afford whatever the Colts offer Bell.

Very possible, but it is interesting that the Colts haven't been linked to anything. Maybe Ballard is just that stealth.

Cimini just said on ESPN Radio NY - Jets Interest in BELL as of this Morning is TEPID.

They are NOT going to write a blank check for Bell and thus why it's being dragged out.

Negotiating ploy.... Bell is dragging this out to maximize money. They show loss of interest, if they are the highest bidder it should light a fire under him and his agents @ss

"Darron Lee WILL NOT LIKELY PLAY FOR JETS but for ANOTHER TEAM NEXT YEAR . . . can get a Late Round pick for him" - Cimini

Aim for a 3rd, settle for a 4th.  Any less than that, just keep him for depth.

If we don't get Bell, then I'd be ok with Mark Ingram.  Not too high on Coleman, but I'll take either of them if it means Crowell is out.

Ingram has pretty good hands and hits the hole hard.

Bell>Ingram>Coleman>Crowell
