MARLIN JACKSON BREAKS HIS WRIST AT PRO DAY

A league source tells us that Michigan cornerback Marlin Jackson, projected by many as a potential first-round draft pick, likely will now see his stock plummet after suffering a broken wrist during his Pro Day workout.

Jackson, we're told, was backpedaling and turning after a deep ball. The throw was poor, and he had to adjust for the ball and fell after he caught it, landing awkwardly on his wrist. Jackson said, we hear, that he felt something "pop" when he hit the ground.

Jackson could potentially fall out of the first day of the draft, depending on the severity of the injury.

We've also been told that Michigan safety Ernest Shazor, projected as a potential second-rounder, ran a 4.7 in the 40, possibly dropping himself out of the first day.

marlin jackson is too slow for a cornerback any ways, he ran a 4.59, which is pretty bad for a corner. he's built like a safety, I often watched michigan games last year to see just how good marlin jackson and ernest shazor were

ernest shazor CAN REALLY HIT!!!! I don't care if he runs a 4.7, he is a big time player

marlin jackson got burnt on nearly every fade route thrown his way because he had no catch up speed to knock the pass down. and some little WR at ohio state, santonio somethin.....marlin tried jamming him at the line, and this little WR pushed him off 3 yards ran a slant route and caught the TD pass

from GBNreport today

# March 19 (6:00 PM): UM CB dodges injury hit... X-rays on the wrist of Michigan CB Marlin Jackson reportedly came back negative this morning. In the end, Jackson, who slipped during one of the drills during his Pro Day yesterday,, has been diagnosed with a sprained wrist. Jackson is expected to be in a splint for 1-to-2 weeks. That's a whole lot better than the 4-6 weeks Jackson could have been sidelined had he broken the wrist. Jackson, who lowered his 40 clocking from over 4.6 seconds at the scouing combine last month to the 4.45 range at the Michigan pro day yesterday, was quoted this morning as saying that he was "feeling great." Jackson also indicated that he was "glad things did not turn out worse, especially after running so well yesterday... (I) think I showed scouts that I could run with any of the other corners... some guys said they had me as fast as Braylon (Edwards) on one of my 40-times... now I just have to wait to see what happens with the draft". While he is being evaluated at both CB and FS by some teams, it is expected that Jackson will ultimately be taken within the first two rounds of nxt month's draft by a team that is looking for a highly experienced, productive defender that has the ability to step right in and contribute, as a rookie.

If Willis McGahee can be drafted in the 1st round then so can Marlin Jackson. But unfortunately, it's likely that he will fall to Round 2, and maybe even to the Jets.

sorry dude, although they both had an injury Willis was amazing at the U and would have been a top 5 overall pick and Marlin was bordering on a low first to mid second round grade

you cant really compare the 2 guys in that respect
