Humphries to the Titans

If he got four years 36 million, the difference between him and Crowder must have been the length of contract and guaranteed money.  The Jets guaranteed Crowder, 17 million, most likely over the first two years.  Humphries probably got the first  three years at 27 million guaranteed.  The extra year and the extra 10 million guaranteed most likely was the difference.

Or maybe the jets think crowder is a better player and wanted him over humphries.

I’d be a little annoyed if he got similar money to Crowder.

Why? I like Humphries but let's no act as if there is a gap in talent between the two. If anything, Crowder is more talented. Humphries benefited from playing alongside Evans and in a high powered offense.

Has been more durable than Crowder. Has had 55 + the past 3 seasons. Almost hit 80 receptions last season with Fitzpatrick/Winston.

Fitz and Winston combined for 5k yards. They were down a ton every game.. Aired it out a bunch and slot WRs usually do well in that environment.

Not saying he isn't good, he is. But he's not a better talent than Crowder.

Just read that the Patriots really tried to get Humphries but he had already committed to the Titans.  Even though the Pats might have offered more money, he opted to stay with his "handshake agreement" with the Titans.  He said he is a "man of his word".  Hear that Barr??  The Patsies were also trying to get Beasley as well.

When he said “Man of his word” did the Patriots brass get all confused and have to look that phrase up with the google machine?

You make it sound like Fitz/Winston is a detriment.  They had the NFLs number 1 passing offense.
