So this is a dawg?

Yes he is.  His effort on the field has never been questioned and the best thing we can hope for is that he stays healthy and is motivated to get another good contract and keeps his foot on the gas for us.

While we need a center, we just got an elite offensive player, for a decent price.  Not sure what there could be to complain about

Tom prefers that his football players have some form of "character".

Then watch how he drags everyone else through the sewer with his skewering.

Some people cannot allow themselves to be happy. Sad.

I prefer my football players to be really good at football.

As long as they don't rape, kill or beat up women or children, I'm good.

I don’t think they’re losing sleep because they like money, but Bell didn’t even win on the money front. Dude ended up on a significantly worse team for the same money he left on the table and gave up a year of his prime for the right to do it

So?

I’m no optimist, this team has beaten me to a bloody pulp but I don’t get how anyone who actually puts them self through the misery of watching the Jets isn’t excited about watching probably the most exciting RB I’ve seen in a long time and by far the most dynamic offense weapon to ever join the Jets in his prime.

Money be damned.  He’s not holding back the Jets from anything.

I just like the fact they actually seem to be "trying" to win now, rather than just sitting on the outside caring about marketing.

Maybe it will blow up in their faces, but I will give them credit for trying. Our Mets are not making these big moves and we pine for them.

At least the Jets exhausted some real bullets.

I’m not criticizing the signing. It’s fine and I hope he gets 2000 yards next year. I’m pointing out that the same fans who were killing the Browns for getting ODB yesterday are elated we signed an *actual* locker room cancer and that Bell played himself. Good on Macc for profiting from it, but let’s be real.

“Life’s A Gamble”. He took a gamble and it didn’t work out as he expected. Oh well. Just come and ball for us!

Yeah... because it's not like the Jets were the team that the first true modern superstar played for or anything.

Tom's hero is Bill Parcels (and I actually like Parcells a lot too).

Parcells is one of the biggest mercenaries and self promoting d-bags that there are in sports. Only in it for himself.

Yet, this is who Tom has on his mantle and mirror that he looks at each day for inspiration.

Just seems to be a hypocritical nature there.

The Jets are not, in fact, a contender right now. And Florham Park is super inbred until you get to the pike

I’ll disagree with you about contender status.

On the other note I can’t argue with you, lots of Jersey is actually scarier than the middle of Mississippi....but I was talking about Madison Ave.  They play in NJ, unfortunately, but their name starts with NY.

Tom, just for my edification, are you in agreement with the Franchise Tag and what it represents and does it fit your hippie values?

Serious question, which I hope I get a serious response.

Yeah, let’s clear this up for Scott, far left socialist are NOT hippies

The Rust Belt is one giant socialist enterprise. Try not to cut your hand on one of those rusted-out factories because Le’Veon and I are paying for your tetanus shot, bud.

I bet Paradis is kicking himself now!

Not likely.   I read from someone that he wasn't interested in the Jets because NY/NJ wasn't the right fit.  He is more of a country boy.  Born in Idaho.  College at Boise State.  Carolina lifestyle ane people more comfortable to him...

Just answer the question. And keep your political views out of it. Only care to hear when you are running marathons for the underprivileged. Those are the updates I care about.

I recently ran two 5k’s for the underprivileged.

How low is the bar really in order to be a contender for a wild card?  If you sit at 6-6 with four to go then your are "contending".

If you buy into the theory that 1 or 2 losses were down to the previous coaching staff I think it is s fairly safe to say that we will be in that picture in year-2 of the Darnold dynasty.  The real question is how paltry would such an achievement be?
