faba 118,231 Posted March 19, 2019 Mets are improved but so should be everyone else in the division except sad Marlins. Can not expect another truly dominant Degrom so other guys have to be alittle better. This team will still be pitching will take us to the promised land
faba 118,231 Posted March 26, 2019 Three great pitching matchups to start the season vs Nats. No deal with DeGrom it seems is coming before the start of the season -
faba 118,231 Posted March 27, 2019 Well I am so glad I am wrong our GM seems a breath of fresh air in Flushing
faba 118,231 Posted April 2, 2019 Alonso and McNeil play those guys every day. Look to trade Frazier
faba 118,231 Posted April 7, 2019 Great comeback win went to the game and was about to be really pissed at Familla then we turned it right around. 1
faba 118,231 Posted April 16, 2019 The bullpen has been a disaster so far-who would have thought the Mets and their tradition would be bailed out by offense - at least so far
faba 118,231 Posted April 18, 2019 Well so far entire pitching staff except for Diaz so disappointing. Walks are killing them all also. Kimbrall price keeps going down - make a bold move shore up that pen . I do not trust Famillia never have never will based on his past
faba 118,231 Posted April 19, 2019 Degrom having a MRI- yikes
faba 118,231 Posted April 23, 2019 Gio makes sense for the Mets to provide some pitching depth- obvious we have no one ready in minors that can help the starting rotation. Milwaukee reportedly very interested so have to make a move now
faba 118,231 Posted April 25, 2019 Off topic here but nothing better than playoff hockey overtime 7th game Figures Vargas pitches decent and we can not that game would have been nice to sweep Phils
faba 118,231 Posted April 28, 2019 Apr 27, 2019; New York City, NY, USA; New York Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud (18) is tagged out at second base by Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Mike Moustakas (11) trying to stretch a single into a double during the seventh inning at Citi Field. Mandatory Credit: Andy Marlin-USA TODAY Sports (Andy Marlin) Travis d'Arnaud entered the season on a short leash while his recovery from Tommy John surgery served as a constant hurdle. The Mets have acted on that thinking, designating the catcher for assignment Sunday and recalling Tomas Nido from Triple-A Syracuse to take over backup duties behind the plate. d'Arnaud came to the Mets in 2012 in the trade that sent R.A. Dickey to Toronto. He was the key piece in that swap, with Noah Syndergaard actually serving as the additional piece in the package. "What we've seen from Travis, it's been tough," manager Mickey Callaway said. " ... We have tough decisions to make, and obviously this is a tough one." But d'Arnaud never fully grew into the hitter he was projected to be and defensive issues -- aside from commendable pitch framing -- disgruntled him among the fanbase. This year, d'Arnaud had two hits in 25 plate appearances -- he was thrown out at second base trying for a double Saturday, which was his final hit before being DFA'd. A checkered injury history marked d'Arnaud's time with the Mets, culminating with Tommy John in 2018 that cost him nearly the entire season. The Mets ultimately tendered him a contract for 2019, even with the signing of Wilson Ramos to take over as the everyday catcher. But d'Arnaud could not produce enough to hold onto his backup role. Over his seven-year career with the Mets, the 30-year-old batted .242 with 42 homers.
faba 118,231 Posted May 2, 2019 Went to the game today Noah did it all = this is the pitcher we need to see at top of rotation
faba 118,231 Posted May 5, 2019 Hernandez is the worst umpire has been for many years. Still you need to score more than 3 runs in 18 innings can not blame pitchers really Alonso and MvCneil are the only players overachieving all else under
faba 118,231 Posted May 9, 2019 Conforto, Cano , Ramos , Frazier , Nimmo all underachieving. Lagares not a every day player Rosario hitting but fielding shoddy I can go on
faba 118,231 Posted May 19, 2019 Rock bottom almost to lose to a minor league team in danger of being swept. Calloway can not survive this disaster remember he is not the GM's guy
faba 118,231 Posted May 20, 2019 Based on his past history I was not expected anything from Cespedes and I unfortunately was right. Waste of a talent
faba 118,231 Posted May 30, 2019 How come e practically every free agent we get never performs like they did with their former team Mr. Diaz
faba 118,231 Posted June 9, 2019 Where would the Mets be without Alonso and Mcneil- two guys carrying the team two bright spots
faba 118,231 Posted June 17, 2019 Atlanta, then Chicago and then Phillies at home- this is the the season probably right here whether we can stay competitive
faba 118,231 Posted June 25, 2019 What is it about teams I root for that they become so dysfunctional? Hah Calloway is dead man walking . His big crime is supposed pitching guru and the pitching has gone downhill with him.
faba 118,231 Posted June 26, 2019 Closer to last place than first place now.
faba 118,231 Posted June 28, 2019 Cano looks totally washed up as a hitter. Diaz what happens when guys that are excellent on other teams come to the Mets- they suck
faba 118,231 Posted July 2, 2019 Only the Mets would screw up a reunion by listing two live people dead
faba 118,231 Posted July 7, 2019 Our GM is crazy- great hire by Wilpons
faba 118,231 Posted July 9, 2019 To think Pete was not a sure thing to be on the roster at the start of the season. Thankfully Mets made one right decision
faba 118,231 Posted July 30, 2019 Still expect Wheeler or Noah to be traded to get some prospects back in the system
faba 118,231 Posted August 6, 2019 The depth is taking hits but we are back to within range of wild card. Pitching has to carry us Mr regan thanks for helping some of these guys improve. Has to be someone down on the farm that can hit better than the former Philly scrub. for the outfield
faba 118,231 Posted August 18, 2019 2 games back of second wild card still. That lineup without McNeil is plenty shaky. Thankful for Pete and Rosario and Conforto and Ramos.
faba 118,231 Posted August 20, 2019 38 games left 24 at home where we have played much better than the road. But tougher teams in most of those 38. Need Mcneil back to balance that lineup
faba 118,231 Posted August 22, 2019 Another great win getting contributions from the entire roster only way to be really successful.
faba 118,231 Posted September 1, 2019 If we had a decent bullpen first half we would be right with Washington most likely for first wild card. We have some nice young players that evolved this year. Have to build around them gives you hope
faba 118,231 Posted September 24, 2019 Well some positives this year like pete JC and mcneil. A decent bullpen would have us a wild card this year. But since our gm talked bold at the start he has egg on his face. What to do about diaz try to move him or get him to turn it around is first bug decision
faba 118,231 Posted December 24, 2019 Good move the guy if healthy is major improvement for our relief staff and screw the Yankees besides hah
