Tomlinson gets a bad rep because he has had penalties, but he's easily the best blocking TE on the team and one of the better blocking specialists in the league. For a cheap #2 behind Herndon, he's more than adequate. Qvale can play OT or OG, and adds versatile depth. Again, he came cheap. Both guys could be upgraded if someone else emerges from FA or the draft, but they are both good guys to have around as veteran depth and competition. Bleedin Green Posted March 19, 2019 Share Posted March 19, 2019 I'll be rooting for both to get beat out in camp, but considering the Jets had quite literally the least players under contract of any team to start the FA period, they have to be signing at least a few nobodies to help fill out the roster, unless we want to have a camp and preseason that's featuring about 40 undrafted rookies. Just as long as Maccagnan isn't stupid enough to consider either of these players any actual solution at all (a dangerous assumption of course), it's at least understandable.
