Siemian isn't bad but I prefer someone who can contribute to Darnold's development.  That would mean someone with more starting experience like Glennon or Gabbert.

Glennon has only started 22 games in his career versus Simiens 24.

You're  right.  I'm surprised they have the similar amount of  experience considering Glennon got in the league 2 years earlier.

Gase has all but said he's spending the vast majority of his time with Darnold.  It was actually nice to hear a HC outright admit he has no interest in the D and wants to delegate complete control to a worthy DC like Williams.

With that being the case, there isn't a pressing need for a McCown type mentor on the roster.

With the folly that was Bowles and Bates, McCown was absolutely vital in helping Darnolds development.

What is Sam Bradford up to these days?

If he's willing, he'd be the veteran backup who could help Sam, and if he had to come in for a game or two, give us an excellent chance to win.

I know he might be pricey, but I think he could fill this roll for 6-7 years. He'd make it something the Jets won't ever have to worry about for a long time.
