I thought this was an interesting list of visits for the Jets.   Note, no Quinnen Williams (or Oliver), although Christian Wilkins is in there.     Lots of RBs.

Also interesting that Erik McCoy is the one center they have invited.  Seems like a potentially good pick in the third round.

Lamont Gaillard is listed as a C in a lot of places

Why do I get the distinct feeling that in about 30 days I'm going to vividly remember seeing this and even more vividly throwing up a little?

Gary is Gholston 2.0. Bosa imo is right there with him.

Dont want either. At all. Both will bust in the NFL. No heart.

Is he any good?

I think he is a bit of a project for the NFL.  Played both C & G.  A little undersized, not a mauler -- probably fits better in zone scheme than power blocking.  Great kid, though.  Team captain, smart kid, never missed a game over last 3 seasons, coaches and teammates loved him.  I think he would be a reach in the 4th round, but if he is on the board when we pick in 6, I would take a shot at him if we are still going with zone blocking.  Probably would not be the answer in his first season, but could develop into a starter down the road.

I've noticed that a lot of times teams bring in guys...

-they are not sure of and would like a closer look

-believe may be available late in the draft

-positions they would only consider addressing later in the draft (which is why I think the Jets are looking at a lot of RBs)

-anyone they expect may fall in the draft

-top positions they need to address

-top prospects they think will be available to them in the first round

-prospects they are interested in with character concerns

So yeah, it's a bit odd that they did not look meet with QW but it might just mean they have seen enough (either to be sold on him or to stay away- probably the former).

Or we have decided for the first time in 10 years that maybe yet another DT drafted to play DE isn’t the answer.

Praying.

the two names that get my attention here are oliver and jonah williams, both of whom are expected to be drafted in the 10-12 range.  right where the broncos/bengals/packers pick.

Would you throw Christian Wilkins in the mix there?

what’s the deal with this kid? he was highly regarded before the combine as a 1st rounder... I read something about his interviews going poorly but he’s talked about like a 3rd rounder now

He had a terrible showing at the combine, plus bombed his interviews. Heard there's a ton of red flags as far as his personality.

That being said, I am a firm believe that "tape don't lie" and that he's a 1st rounder strictly going by his play on the field.

Any team that gets him in the 3rd is getting a huge steal. And I'm hoping that team is us

sounds like he might be a head case. I remember vontaze burfict having the same kind of meltdown with his combine and interviews
