Doggin94it
This isn't based on reportage, just putting pieces together: Abram is a safety projected to go towards the end of the first round. After taking Adams & Maye 2 years ago, the Jets cannot be thinking of drafting Abram this year. Even if he falls to the third round, they can't be considering spending another premium pick on a third safety. So why waste a visit on Abram? The Jets under Mac have a history of playing their cars close to the best and not tipping their first round picks. If I remember correctly, Darnold was actually the first 1st pick the Jets had in for a pre-draft visit since 2014. So could the reason to bring Abram in be for information on Sweat? And if so, are they looking at him at 3 or only in a trade down?

KRL
They should be interested in Sweat, but I think you're grasping at straws from those tweets
Bleedin Green
Maybe Maccagnan's looking for a pass rusher and thought they said this was John Abraham? Or perhaps high-pick safeties are just Maccagnan's very own Lay's chips. "Bet you can't draft just two!"
joenamathwouldn'tcry
They would be doing themselves a disservice by not bringing him in. He is most definitely a top 12 pick, most likely much higher, and his stock has risen since the combine. He has unique physical traits. That being said, the Jets interest is due diligence in anticipation of the possibility of a potential trade back in the first round. If the Jets can stay within the first 8-10 picks after trading back, he is a perfect candidate in that spot. I, for one, would be thrilled with this scenario. The Jets' first pick has been a site visit every year since forever. Adding fuel to the Sweat fire: we also usually bring in a teammate for a visit, too.
