Crawl over here Bugg, i'd like to step on you. The purpose of the thread was to introduce a new trade down partner for the Jet's. What the compensation is, as listed by a forum poster[any forum poster}, doesn't mean jack s...

Everyone's just being grumpy.  lol

It is a bad package initially though. Pat Kirwan made a similar trade in their Mock 2 on Moving the Chains. He took poor compensation too and got killed for it. He then traded down from 11 to 15 and ended up with Jawaan Taylor at 15.

The partner is fine. I actually think the Bengals are a sleeper in all of this. There is a very real possibility that this happens. The compensation would have to be much higher though.  their 1st, 2nd, and 1st next year at minimum.

How bout trading back with the Bucs if Bosa is still there?  #5, their 2nd and McCoy?  Eh?

It was just a starting point. The thread was more about a trading partner that hasn't really been mentioned. I'm not the GM. Mac, or any other GM, is going top get as much in return as possible. People take themselves way too seriously. What we say has no effect on how GM's assess their team and the draft.

You don't have to repeat the same excuse ten times. Just, if you feeling like throwing out a trade proposal, maybe take a couple seconds out of your busy day and look up a draft pick trade chart and make a reasonable proposal. I imagine @KRL put about twelve seconds into creating a trade with the Bengals that people could get on board with.

Good morning everybody! I proposed this in the draft forum, didn't get a lot of attention. The Bengals appear like they're ready to move on from Daulton. They get our #3, we get the #11, #43, and Carlos Dunlop. At #11, either Sweat or Burns will still be there. We need to pray that there's a QB other than Murray that they're high on.

Why do you say the Bengals appear like they're ready to move on from Dalton?

Sorry for the evil deed. It was more about a trading partner that hasn't been mentioned.

Lol. What a wise a..Why is that trade down any less or more ridiculous than the other trade downs that have been talked about AD NAUSEUM  on this forum. If the Bengals are looking to move on from Andy Dalton, and they like a Lock or Haskins, than that trade makes sense for both teams. As much sense, as any other trade proposed, i'll say that.

Please review what the Jets gave the Colts to move up three spots last year

I shouldn't have mentioned compensation without looking at the value chart. It was just a starting point to talk about. I mentioned Dunlop because he would be a player that Williams could get some good use from, for a while

I know that. Wanna know how I know that?

What we get in return is up to the respective GM's. I'm suggesting a trading partner that hasn't been mentioned. The Redskins have been mentioned. I don't like that because the likelihood of an impact edge rusher being there at #15, goe's down. Too far of a drop down.

Thank you. I suggested a new trading partner for the Jet's. What the compensation is, would be up to the respective GM's, not me. My thread was a starting point. Some people like to attack, though. Guess the Viagra has stopped working for them.

Lol. My thread WASN'T about compensation, it was about a trade down partner that hasn't been mentioned. I agree, about the QB's in this draft. Nobody might want to trade up for the QB's in this draft. If they do, the Bengals makes the most sense to me.

I brought up Dunlop for a specific reason. If Gregg Williams wants to do, what he's always done, and play multiple fronts, we need more lineman who can play. It wasn't a straight up trade proposal. I expect any GM, would get as much in return as possible. Mac is going to look at a poster's trade proposal and offer that up with no negotiating. It was just a suggestion on a trade partner that hasn't really been mentioned.

Not happening this year. Getting into the top 3 of a projected 4 top QB draft was a bit different than seeing who wants Haskins.  I would love to get something similar, but I don't think it's realistic.  We gave up 3100 draft value pts to get 2200. That's a 900 pt differential which is worth the 18th overall pick in the draft. I wouldn't count on getting a deal like that this year.

yeah but tell me you didn't make the wah-wah noise when he said carlos dunlop

Carlos Dunlop is a good football player. He's not a long term solution. We do need more up front than what we have.

I appreciate it dbatesman. Getting busted on a few spelling errors is fine. Theoretically though everyone who starts a thread is trying to get attention. That was a little bit of a low blow.

I think you'll get some attention alright!  Just not the kind you want.

Also, who is Daulton?

Guy wants to talk football and not uniforms so relax trolls though I don’t like this trade either

Bengals could def be a dark horse trading partner

how about Tampa bay too at 5? Anybody really think Arians wants to stay w Winston? I don’t. He may want to move up for Haskins. There will def be some surprise trades on draft day- can’t get here soon enough

This time of year, draft discussion is Jets discussion. On May 1, when you draft nerds wanna start talking about the 2020 draft, you can take that back to your little forum and leave the rest of us alone.

Your suggested compensation is horrendously low and I would hate Maccagnan even more if he accepted such a crap deal.

And at #11, I'm probably looking OL over defense unless someone rated very highly dropped.

I don't think you were getting my sarcasm.  LOL

I like a trade down with the Bengals more. Here's why. The three players, at the top of the draft will be gone. Allan, Bosa, and Williams. A trade down with the Bengals would get us a bigger return, and we'd still be able to land the 2nd, 1st rd tier of edge rushers.

Right?   Jeesh!

What did @genot ever do to anyone?

I think Tampa is in the mix as well, Arians may like Winston more than you think. I could see them trying to get Bowles some key pieces in this Defensive heavy draft and letting Winston play out the year under Arians tutelage. Arians has plenty of rope.  If it doesn't work this year with Winston, who is still a very talented player, they can get a QB in next year's draft.  I think he will take a slower approach. That said, he may really love Bosa, Q or Allen and it's only a short stroll from #5 to 2 or 3.

Think it's Darren Daulton, the old Phillies catcher.?

I was thinking Daulton from the movie roadhouse. If i had a dollar for every ridiculous thing that's been said on this forum, i'd be in line to bye the team. How many threads have there been on Jamal Adams. Fifty .Hundred. Please

I put this in another thread this past week. I think this could be a realistic scenario if Murray and Bosa go 1&2. Q Williams could be a target for the Bucs. Also, for Cincy to go from 11 to 3, they would owe us 950 pts. It would cost them their entire draft this year, or swap firsts, we get their 2nd this year and a #1 next year.

Creating threads because you want attention generally doesn’t work out well around here. Misspelling two different players’ names isn’t doing you any favors either. Also, your idea is terrible.

Hit 'em with the Heinnnnn.
