Despite retirement, Mangold keeps interview "photo bombing" tradition alive!

Recommended Posts

Nick Mangold truly the the best Center to ever play for the NY Jets on and off the field.

Wish we would make an effort to replace him.

Love Mangold but Mawae was better.

Darnold should have tried to sweet talk him out of retirement.

We got Mawae in his prime. We never got to see Mawae at the end of his career, when his body broke down in Tenn, like we did with Mangold. I think as a whole Mawae had a better overall career while Mangold had a better Jet career. It's splitting hairs.

Your opinion is understandable.

When was it this happened? Mawae was first team all pro at age 37.

It’s quite amazing how the Jets have had so much continuity at this one position.

Schmidt, Fields, Sweeney, Mawae then Mangold.

And a common theme?

They could all hike the ball properly.

Mawae took care of himself. He played 6 more seasons than Mangold.

Not a big fan of Mangold.  Used to love him but ever since he was part of the ridiculous hold-out to make sure Fitz got paid I kinda lost respect for the guy.

Loved him as a player - but that incident really soured me on the guy.
