Popular Post jetstream23
With the purported schedule now leaked the Jets are looking at the following travel in the first 7 weeks of the season. A trip to nearby Boston, a trip to nearby Philadelphia.....that's it! The most travel they do is back-to-back weekends in Florida, Week 8 at Jacksonville and Week 9 at Miami. (Good weather in Florida that time of year) I don't think I've seen a friendlier travel schedule for a NFL team in my entire life. Nothing west of Cincinnati and the two "cold weather" travel games might only be to Baltimore in mid-December and Buffalo for Week 17. We like to bash the NFL schedule makers for things like West Coast trips followed by a Thursday Night game or back-to-back road games on different coasts, but this schedule is really a gift for the Jets.
slimjasi
The easiest travel schedule I have ever seen the Jets get. Also, leaving the Pats out of it, our toughest opponents are (probably) the Ravens, Steelers, Browns, Cowboys, and Eagles. Three of the five are at home.

A couple of them probably will be, but none of them are locks to be and a couple of them probably won't be.

ASH1962
I don't get all of the gloom and doom with the schedule (see Mr. Shane in the Schedule release thread), our team is not complete yet. I think guys are looking at the schedule as if a Todd Bowles / Kacy Rodgers coached team will be playing that schedule and they are nuts. Can we at least wait and see the TC roster before saying 5-11 again? Sheesh SMH 3
GreenNewDeal
I've been to a few Jet games and I've never been impressed with our crowd energy, unfortunately. I guess we need to win first.

And, if we win in Week 1 then I think we'll be roaring on MNF the following week vs. Faker Playfield.

slats
The official schedule sucks for me vs. the rumored schedule. Went from being off the first two games of the season to scheduled to work the first two weeks. By week three, my optimism could already be extinguished. And a week four bye does nothing but suck, too.
TuscanyTile2
Don't we play MNF in week 2 and then the Patriots in week 3? In other words, we play the Pats in their building on a short week of rest.

NYJ1
Just hoping Sammy can take advantage of whatever the football gods bestow upon him. Make no mistake about it, as Sammy goes, so will our season.

slats
Just saw this on PFT: Raiders’ schedule has the most travel miles, Jets’ schedule has the fewest Posted by Michael David Smith on April 20, 2019, 7:03 AM EDT Getty Images The NFL scheduling formula wasn’t kind to the Raiders but was very kind to the Jets. The Raiders will travel more miles in 2019 than any other team, and the Jets will travel the fewest in the NFL. According to TheScore.com, the Raiders’ total travel distance in the regular season will be 35,308 miles, while the Jets will travel just 6,794 miles. Oakland will play a “home” game more than 5,000 miles away in London, and also has road trips to Minnesota, Indianapolis, Green Bay, Houston, New York, Kansas City, Los Angeles and Denver. The Jets, on the other hand, travel to New England, Philadelphia, Jacksonville, Miami, Washington, Cincinnati, Baltimore and Buffalo. West Coast teams travel the farthest, with the Rams, Chargers, Seahawks and 49ers rounding out the Top 5 in distance traveled. Teams in the Northeast travel the least, with the Giants second to the Jets and Buffalo, Washington and New England rounding out the Top 5.
