Fun TE fact: did you know the Jets drafted John Mackey in 1963 (before the merger so he went to the NFL team instead).  Best TE we ever drafted and he didn't play for us :)

The Cards drafted Namath in 1965 and the Giants drafted Matt Snell in 1964..

Gase allegedly wanted one of the free agent centers and Macc biffed it.

...and is biffing the same position in the Draft as well.

He also can provide Bell with extra yards, which is a nice plus.  It's not like we have Mangold running out into space to block anymore.

Exactly.  I mean this helps out our prized offensive weapon I would think lol

We all wanted Offensive Line, so I guess Wesco kind of fits into that category...I guess, hmpf

Last two picks help run and pass game.  Tomlinson is gone, he can’t block and can’t catch.  Wesco can also be lead blocker for bell.

No. And will go Undrafted.

I thought you wanted Dexter Williams back in the 4th round, now you don't want him at all?

Is this when they pick Gaillard?

It's about the right spot for him, or Pierschbacher.

Unless we go WR with Harmon, who I really like.

Ben Benzschwal is also still available as an option at RG, from Wisconsin.

I was also a big fan of David Edwards the RT from Wisconsin but he had a bad year this season and is still on the board.  If we took Edwards though we would essentially have rookies backing up both OT spots as we couldn't keep Qvale (who cares).

Haven't we been through this before? We had a great dline with wilkerson, snacks, sheldon, and then drafted Williams to boot, and in the end we had nothing to show for it. Now we are doing it again.

The only name should be Ross pierschbacher. That’s the guy we want. If we all yell it continuously until the pick it will happen.

Ready???

Go!

Gaillard will probably be there in the 6th round.

Could be, though our 6th rounder is very late.

Pierschbacher probably goes this round, I think.

NFL draft profile: D'Andre Walker

Georgia outside linebacker D'Andre Walker has a quick first step and excels at anticipating the snap.

Pre-Draft Analysis

Walker has a quick first step and excels at anticipating the snap. He rushes with good forward lean, uses his long arms to keep blockers off his body and flashes the ability to convert speed to power. He tends to hold his ground and set the edge even though he plays a little high.

What separates Pierschbacher in your mind?

I ask because for some reason I really liked Barret Jones who is a similar player and who never made it.

Pre-Draft Analysis

Gaillard has adequate size with above-average length and big hands. He has lined up at guard and center. Gaillard takes solid angles and gets good leverage in the run game. He's very effective with his timing and awareness on combo blocks. He's tough and flashes an edge as a finisher. He shows good awareness, but he's a limited athlete who will be overmatched by quickness one-on-one in pass protection.

And we also had Mark Sanchez, Geno Smith, Hack, Petty...  It didn't work before so it shouldn't work now?
