The picks we're making outside the top 10 won't be on the team in 2 seasons, as per the usual.

Round 3 has a 35% success rate in terms of the player picked turning into a contributor much less a starter.

Keep bangin' that drum.

Like the Edoga pick.  I would have gone Kelvin Harmon, WR, but fine with adding an OT there.

Still may get him

Tackle was always the biggest need on the line and tougher to find ,  so this makes perfect sense

I think Edoga ends up being a guard, so ok.

That's what I am thinking. He looks like a very good guard.

I dunno about the player, but why the hell trade 217 for him? Doubt he'd have gone the previous pick.

Exactly unless the Vikings are thinking about taking Lee off our hands.

By the Vikings no less. Haven’t theY fleeced us enough lately???

Fleeced us how Bean?  They got stuck with Cousins and took us off the hook from the ridiculous Anthony Barr contract.  I call that addition by subtraction.  We owe them...   Like the pick.  Offensive Linemen who push ref's can't be all bad, can they??

Spread rumors that we're going to trade out of #3 - don't do it, instead spread rumor that nobody offered "kings ransom".

Spread rumors that we're going to trade up into the 2nd round - don't do it, instead draft boom/bust need player and call him best available.

Realize fans are call me a coward - trade up 1 spot to show that "I'm working the phones", draft a replacement for Brandon Shell, who doens't need to be replaced yet.

I think the Jets traded away their 7th for that trade..

Even better. The Vikings took our 7th, then spun that pick for two picks in the 6th from the Ravens.

Just mugged us off.

Wow, sounds like this guy was the best player in the draft

This draft is so much better than Oliver and Winovich and Boykin.

Pre-Draft Analysis

Edoga is a shorter-than-average tackle with solid bulk and good arm length. He gets set quickly and has a powerful punch. He's an easy mover with the ability to handle speed off the edge and adjust to double moves. As a run-blocker, he has the power to jolt defenders, but he becomes an erratic finisher and his legs die on contact too often. He lacks discipline and he's been highly penalized.

Fan-tastic!

That percentage would be higher if Mac hadn't been drafting 3rd rounders for the last 4 years.

T-1. CHUMA EDOGA, USC

Chuma Edoga, an athletic freak and USC’s primary right tackle for each of the past two seasons, allowed just four hurries across 304 pass-blocking snaps in 2018. With no sacks or hits allowed tied to his name, the 6-foot-3, 308-pound Edoga ranked tied for first in PFF’s pass-blocking efficiency (99.3).

hmmmm....can he play LT?

Hey. It’s a 3rd OL so whatevs. Just wouldn’t have chosen him specifically. That’s me. But at least it’s happening. We have an early 4th and can go OL again (lmao) or maybe WR of butler or Ridley are still there. I doubt it though

They wanted to go home 7 minutes early? Or they are trying to break the I've on a trade for Tre Wayne's so that we don't have cb2 Daryl Roberts?

Meanwhile, in other news,  @#27TheDominator is killing the mock draft.  Lindstrom 8 picks earlier, Banogu, Hurd and Okekere all a round earlier than I picked them.  I wonder if Boykin will go before 102 where I picked him.
