Kraft Wins again

It should be suppressed. I'd argue there's a pretty strong expectation of privacy in a massage parlor. Yes it was technically a crime but serves absolutely no public good to release a wank video. Privacy from undue harassment and embarassment is something all citizens should enjoy unless overrided by public interest. I know it's not a popular view because it's the Patriots owner, but show some empathy, folks. He's an old man who just got a massage and her hands started going lower and he was like "ah what the hell."

Kraft was never going to do time anyway.

Quite honestly, justice has probably been 90% served already just by the sheer embarrassment and ridicule he's received.  Don't get me wrong, he deserves every story written about him, every meme and joke made.  This is going to stick with him like a finger in the ass.  Dude can't go to an event or anything these days without getting pointed at.  It's glorious.

JN puritans are badly misjudging the zeitgeist. Billionaires will get their arses kissed even after doing much worse. This would be a non event for a truck driver. For Kraft, probably only Jets and Patriots fans are still even following this “story.”

they got a warrant so whats the problem? couldnt exactly just walk in and tell the place they were installing cameras.

The warrant says the police can install video equipment.  I don't believe it says the police can commit an illegal act, like calling in a phony, made up bomb scare in order to empty the building, to get that video equipment installed.

How can the police legally break the law in order to enforce the law?

It wasn't breaking the law it was a police tactic to clear the room. They had two choices make a distraction to empty the business or break in at night.

These are not illegal acts when there is proper justification for the surveillance and procedures are followed. Just like The FBI investigating foreign contacts within a presidential campaign is not "spying" if the process was followed and the suspicioun and evidence warrented those actions. The police don't make that call a judge does.

The crime of paying for sex is rediculous, but the reason for the sting was the task force believed there may been some trafficking going on.

This turned out to be false, so really this while thing is not a big deal. It does highlight how broken our legal system is for the rich. If the penalty is a fine then it's basically legal for rich people.

Also let's not pretend that Kraft was just getting a message and some girl accidentally started wanking him. He was there for the sole purpose to engage in the act, and had been there multiple times.

Got away with what though?  Consensual sex (in exchange for money) between 2 adults?

Prostitution is illegal in the US. So, yes what you are describing is him getting away with soliciting prosititution which is a crime. May seem minor to some but it’s a crime nonetheless.

Actually that statement is incorrect. Actually prostitution is legal in this country, but states can regulate it or outlaw it. Prostitution is legal in parts of Nevada, was legal for quite a while in Rhode Island, and is decriminalized in other places, Prostitution being illegal is incredibly dumb. There are horrible elements to prostitution that should still be illegal and policed such as slavery, child prostitution, pimping, etc....but those are easier to pursue if there are avenues for legal controlled prostitution. And massage parlors in nearly every state are generally allowed to operate even though the police know prostitution is happening. The Jupiter case is very unusual.

Exactly  as I told you it would go down. There's nothing to be seen. It was easy as hell to predict  it.

Very true. Reality is that even without million dollar lawyers it is extremely difficult to get convictions in these cases and most of the others in this case that fight it will get off too.

This would be an absurd reason to toss a 80 year old man in jail come on folks it’s a fine and move on kinda deal. So he owns the Patriots, you gotta be some kinda sad sack to want him to do time for this jerkoff “crime” (couldn’t resist).

In the old west..it was just another job in the bar. And a business  at the gold rush camps. This country  was built on prostitution lol.
