Fan favorites that had forum fanboys....and then never amounted to anything!

Amazing that players like Brooks (Bollywood!) and others have fanboys while Martin, Gastineau and even Saint Joe Willie himself have detractors here. We've been losing for so long I think as a collective we have lost our marbles and gone full bizarro.

Bingo!  Curtis Martin is an "accumulator" and Jamal Adams is all mouth.....yet Brooks Bollinger and David Clowney were going to save this franchise and didn't get a fair shot! lol

Lol!

I don't like Favre at all, but he carried that team on his shoulders until his throwing shoulder gave out.

Lol, you're amongst a very small group who has ever seen, in person, a Jets Patrick Ramsey jersey.

LaMont Jordan is a really good one, we (as a fanbase) have always seemingly loved the #2 RB who shows a spark in limited duty.  Like many I thought he could be a thing.

Me too on Jordan.  Then he said after a year or two in Oakland that he had never (never!) once opened his playbook since joining that team and I think we all felt a little better about losing him.

I really thought Bryce Petty was going to be decent.

So did I. I thought he was the steal of the draft in 2015.

If that's what you think of Brett Favre then I want more saboteurs on this team!  The guy played hurt....yet was still a better option at QB than anything else we had.

Chad "Noodle Arm" Pennington had the biggest collection of man champions this board has ever seen for such a craptastic QB.

One of my favorite Jets of all time was Shaun Ellis, who was good but not great.

He always showed up against the Pats.

Indeed.  He really had alot of support amongst the fanbase in my memory.  He wasn't a guy who just had a few vocal supporters, alot of folks really thought he just needed more carries and he'd he'd be a beast.

We all get guys wrong, and (as is so often the case) when guys leave and then do piss all in multiple other places, it usually tells us how wrong we were.

You won’t believe this, nyjunc, but you are incorrect:

Matthew hatchette came from Minnesota so how did the broncos match?

He was terrible for us, he never wanted to be here and played like it. With no Brady and the easiest sched ever we couldn't even make the playoffs, a year later with a rookie QB we were in the AFC championship game

We had an incredibly weak schedule and he played poorly most of that season outside of 3-4 games.  It always amazes me when jet fans think highly of favre but bash Vinny, Chad, Sanchez- 3 guys who actually did something for our team.

Favre got rid of the noodle arm and for that we all owe him a huge debt of gratitude

# 1 offense in the AFC at the time.  And the Titans were undefeated when we beat them in Week 12.

He carried the team 😂😂😂

He was mediocre/bad most of that season ever before the iron Man got a boo boo and used that as an excuse.

This was a man that was out played by Fitz, jamarcus Russell, Tyler thigpen, Jay Cutler and more

He played damn well for the Vikings the next year after his shoulder healed. Though he did blow it last play of that season.

He was awesome for Minnesota but remember that he wanted to play for the Vikings and not for us.  If we had 2009 favre we could have and probably would have won the SB in 2008 but 2009 favre never played for us.

I just remember actually believing we had a shot that season.  Maybe it was because we finally dumped Penny.

Pretty good thru those first 11 games. He had 2461 yards on 70% passing with 20 TDs and 13 ints. Mark Sanchez hit on 56% of his passes one year. Awesome sauce.
