Cimini on 1050 spilling all the tea. HOO BOY. Highlights:

—Chris Johnson wanted Gase and got Maccagnan to go along with it, and they spun it to make it sound like Macc was more involved in the hire than he was.

—Gase DID NOT WANT Gregg Williams.

—Gase wanted the Browns job to the point that Peyton Manning called the Browns first. Jets were the fallback.

It's amazing how the Johnson brothers mess up the most simple things:

The owner hires a GM

The GM hires the coach

The coach hires the staff

I'm starting to wonder if Maccagnan leaking everything to Manish became a source of contention in the building, too...

Great point , totally agree ...there’s never a bad time to fire a guy as awful at his job as Mac was....people getting fired up because of what Joe and Evan or our clown beat writers are tweeting need to take a deep breath ..we got better today . Period .

It's not the move as much as it is the process, and the fact that there's been no apparent logic when looking back at the process the past 5+ months.

You gotta let the GM hire his guy as the coach, and if you don't trust the GM to do that, then fire the GM, don't keep him.

Now we have free agents and drafted players that Gase has no allegiance to.

I don't buy this.  This is a planted story by Johnson/Gase, so Gase looks better in the public eye.  Gase is an arrogant guy who wants total control.
