come on GOB..how can you go into a season so pesimisticly? why even bother to watch a game if thats the way you feel? far as I can see we are a better team & the patsies* are on the decline...think what you want but I disagree with you 100%

Micah Knorr will not be our punter-no more 30 yard tops directional punters for this team- Aussie Ben Grahmn hopefully makes the conversion

The Aussie will be interesting to watch at any rate. I want to see him tackle some people!

I dred having some inexperienced nfl punter as our starter

I can see it now

"Jets up a field goal with 5 minutes to play in the super bowl.........3 and out......2 minutes left..

punter comes out on the field from the his own 40 yard line.............balls snapped......HE MISSES THE BALL...HE MISSES THE BALL....THE EAGLES PICK IT UP AND RUN FOR THE TD....EAGLES WIN THE SUPER BOWL...JETS LOSE JETS LOSE JETS LOSE"

I'd rather have micha knorr

Have you ever seen a game of Aussie rules? I guarantee you this guy can catch a ball better than any punter in the NFL.

They arent there because they are UFA's most likely. They have not been signed by anyone yet, meaning we have as much chance of getting them back as anyone has of signing them, at the moment.

talent wise, this team just isnt as good as last years already.

From strictly at a team speed standpoint, its significantly lower.

Chad coming off a very average year and a major shoulder surgery, 2005 could be tough.

explain how we are significantly slower please..

Not that its neccesarily a bad thing, but arguably our two biggest playmakers are gona In Santana and Lamont.

we're replacing a speedy moss with with a speedy coles with hands and stays inbounds....

and lamont never really played til 4th quater when defences were tired....and blaylock is plenty fast enough....

To this point.

The Jets have made no effort to resign James Reed, Josh Evans or Jason Glenn.

Maybe one of these guys is brought back. That remains to be seen.

I think that The Jets didn't like their depth on defense last year. They leaned very heavily on their starters in the front 7. Those guys played alot of snaps.

You notice that The Jets defense had some problems late in games wearing down. It's because their starters were on the field alot. More than most teams.

There is such a significant drop off in quality from the starters to the backups. Because the starters are premiere players.

In the case of guys like James Reed and Jason Glenn. Once they clock in 4 or 5 years of playing experience. They get guaranteed veteran salaries.

Jets would probably rather draft guys on the cheap with upside to be the backups than pay 500 to 700 grand a pop for each player.

As for Ben Graham. My money is on Micah Knorr making the team. Graham to me is a longshot. I'd like to see him make it. He's got a strong leg but he's never been an NFL punter. This guy could be a complete joke.

When you look at The Jets roster. It's a very young team.

Jets only have 10 players on the roster who are over 30 years old. 3 of them are kicking specialists, Brien, Gowin and Graham.

If The Jets draft well again. They are in good shape moving forward.

They don't have any big free agents next season. The only issue is John Abraham. That should be settled. He will either be traded soon, be a big time player next season and get a long term deal or be franchised again next year.
