JetsLife
That is a good thing. A very good thing. He couldn't draft his way out of a paper bag. Hopefully Jets can wrangle a competent GM. If yes, great. If not, more of the same. But for the moment, it is a very good thing Maccagnan is no longer in charge.

Sarge4Tide
Starbucks stock has lost $2 / share since Maccagnan was fired. Coincidence?
Beerfish
Well the really good news is that the light bulb in the CEOs head switched on a week ago and he realized, yes in fact this guy is a bad gm. Of course a week and one day earlier he was a solid GM that had a good plan. The real bit of genius was letting this 4 years of evidence terrible gm do all of free agency and the draft. That took tremendous foresight by our CEO.

The fact now learned that the guy basically locked himself in his office and studied and analyzed college tape way way more than what any other GM does, because that’s why teams have I think they call them “Scouts”? That Maccagnan CONTINUED to function almost solely as a Scout, pushing many GM duties off on Heimerdinger, who was probably too green for the tasks, is even a GREATER INDICTMENT of what a pure Idiot this guy is. All that time studying college tape and virtually 90% of the guy’s draft picks were TOTALLY out of the league within 1 Year?????? Not even on other teams practice squads. Probably one of the worst hires in NFL history...Maccagnan to GM almost seconds before Houston was going to Fire Him. How that was missed by the Johnsons? I don’t know. Kleckineau
He refused to go quietly. He was last seen screaming he was one 24oz cup away from nirvana and one pro bowl safety & DT from a Lombardi trophy
