Mangold certainly was one of many campaigning for Fitz's return in 2016, but he never held out. While I certainly didn't love it either, in hindsight it's a bit more understandable when you realize the very sad truth that Fitz's 2015 season was the best QB play Mangold ever got to experience in his time here by a pretty wide margin, with the only possible exception being 2/3 of the 2008 season. Yeah, I agree. At the time I was furious with him. But you're right - Fitz was the best he ever played with and thought they could make a legitimate run with him. Really hard to blame him I guess.
