Interesting given Ben Watson's early season absence.

My thoughts exactly. This is surprising to me.  ASJ is a good player but there has to be more to the situation. Maybe they already know the Gronk retirement is almost over.

He was just signed to a one year deal.  I thought he might have been an impactful player for them.  He was reportedly taking a month away for personal reasons.  He's still only 26.

he is a drinking man.  he might be back in treatment

read: he's drinking again.

Unfortunatelly, that is the way I read this too.  If that is the casse, hopefully he can get himself right befoe worrying about his football future.

Bill Belichick is known for doing just about everything right when it comes to the NFL. But even the New England Patriots coach and general manager can’t hit on every draft selection he’s every made. The nature of the draft is that it produces busts just as often as it produces pleasant surprises.

And while Belichick has had his fair share of pleasant surprises, here’s a look at some of the draft prospects who have not panned out under Belichick’s tenure as coach of the Patriots.

Remember when folks were losing their sh*t when Belli signed him and suggested he was going to be an All Pro?

Same thing they did with LaMont Jordan, Victor Hobson, Chris Baker, etc.

There always seems to be a portion of the fanbase who thinks every castoff from the Jets is suddenly going to tear the league a new a$$hole once they join New England.

Dude has like 3 concussions in 2 years

Neal Sterlings concussions occurred in 1 season 2018 Todd Bowles had him on the kickoff team not a place your starting TE at the time should have been. Hopefully he can recover and help this team. The kid has talent.

Truth be told, Bellichick sucks at drafting. He pulled Brady out of his ass and he's had pleasant surprised along the way. His success is very much weighted by plenty of poor choices. Bellichick should NEVER be any teams choice as GM. Baltimore, on the other hand, that's a team that seemingly always drafts well. I'd like a GM that drafts as well as Ozzie Newsome and Erik Decosta. That's a blueprint for success.

He turned many JAG's into superstars look at Kyle Van Noy as an example.
