Not sure if this was done before or not but it's the off season so

I was just listening to NFL/Sirius and they were doing every teams Mount Rushmore (I missed the Jets). Trying to come up with four players and only four to put on there is tough.

1. Joe Namath

2.  Don Maynard

3. Joe Klecko

4. Curtis Martin

That’s as good a list as any.    3 HOFers and a should be HOFer.

No argument here Mick. Good choices.

No problems with the list of 4.  I agree that it's tough leaving certain guys off, particularly Mawae and Mangold.  Revis was great but it's not simply great play that puts you on the list.  He put himself first quite often and ended up playing for the Patriots.  I'd put Revis on the "Almost Mount Rushmore" list.

1. Parcells

2. Namath

3. Gase (no hat)

4. Gase (w/hat)

1. Weeb

2. Namath

3. Maynard

4. Klecko

1st replacement: (Martin)

Revis doesn't deserve anything from this team as he was a selfish jack-ass

Mawae like Martin spent half their time elsewhere, HOF, but not Mount Rushmore

Gastineau - He is not a face of the franchise..

Toon, Walker, Cherbet...

Just not enough to choose from...

Riggins wasn’t a Jet long enough

Fair enough opinion and likely what most would say but Riggins is by far the greatest running back the NYJ ever drafted and was never a Patriot like CuMar the compiler who disappeared in big spots.

I agree with Revis and Gastineau, even though others won’t.  Mawae was a Jet in his prime but did play 5 or 6 years with Seattle and Tennessee. Martin played 3 years with the Pats then 8 with the Jets so he’d definitely be in consideration for it. Players like Mangold, Toon and Cherbet were good players that were extremely well liked so I could see someone putting them on it as well.

But he was so passionate about the way he felt about the Jets..

wasn’t the biggest football fan to begin with, but if I was going to play, I didn’t want to play for what was in my mind the worst team, ever,” “I looked at the Jets as the bottom of the barrel.”

If that's not Jet Mount Rushmore worthy nothing is..

Of course any type of list like this is subjective. I think your list is ( in my opinion the correct one).well done. My 13 year old son has asked me on a number of occasions to list my top five- all yours were there along with Kevin Mawae.

Weeb is needed on the mount Rushmore though...

Yes, but his greatness didn't show itself until he went to another team, so why the hell would he be on our Mount Rushmore?
