EM31
One bright spot was Kakko. He was letting fly with the shot every time the puck got onto his stick in the offensive zone. Someone must have been hammering that into his head. Chytil and Hank both looked sharp too.

BROOKLYN JET
Well it's on Henrik, he has the experience, and he has owned Carolina for years.

BROOKLYN JET
Terrible start The Skjei hit on Fast led to that goal.
BROOKLYN JET
Rangers were outplayed thru 1. Hank is good at making saves in traffic, it may have been worse without him. They looked to settle in a bit at the end of the period, no quit in NY!
BROOKLYN JET
Henrik comes up big on the breakaway but the Rangers are horrible on faceoffs and give up a PP goal. They desperately need the next goal, going back on the PP. Fast not expected to return.

EM31
Very rusty but hats off to Carolina they showed why they made the conference finals last year. Power play was atrocious. Kakko looked sharp again and I thought Fox was a bright spot. Skeii.... Jeez

They need him to get into form quickly. On the flip side, 5 months off is what allowed Kreider to come back. Losing Fast early hurt the team, especially with how many PPs there were today. He's a good special teamer. No clue what's up with Shesterkin. Seems like a real mystery since he was a late decision and ended up sitting in the stands to watch. Hank did an admirable job, but we need Igor available. Short series, our Blueshirts can't take their time coming back to form. Game 2 is critical. JustEndTheSuffering
If Fast can’t play I’d like to Kravtsov. Unfortunately I have a feeling it’ll probably be Lettieri.
BROOKLYN JET
We played poorly, but the difference in the game came down to that 1st goal. Skjei with the big hit on Fast who ended up leaving, but not before he coughed up the puck in our zone. That led to the quick pass and great shot to beat Hank who had good position on the play.
