Charlie Brown
I really wish I knew GW so that I could ask him how Sam is performing when compared to Mayfield last year in practice so far because Baker simply was lights out in the games.... 2

But since Darnold's development is what matters most, I'll take the glass half full approach and say I'm excited about how Sam looks based on what people are saying. The defense has 4 first rounders on it and an upgrade at DC. Figure it out.
Rhg1084
Darnold was 8/11 during yesterday’s practice and 10/14 today with 3 touchdowns including two 50 yard bombs. Hot start for mr California cool
pdxgreen
I am not feeling that Trumaine Johnson will have that bounce back season we all hoped he would. At least against this offense.

He is one of the worst players on the team, almost certainly gives the least effort, and the highest paid. TERRIBLE for team chemistry. Lights out? Seriously he had a few good games/throws just like Darnold. He had a much better team around him by a mile, everyone has some weird obsession with Baker, and when it all blows up I’m gonna laugh harder then ever Can’t Wait! 3

When he was placed in that role with the Rams, with Gregg Williams at DC, he had success. He only has Gregg here.

He’s a ball hawk and will get picks but he won’t shut anyone down.

Like I said: In a situation where he's a # 2 CB with a pass rush, he's effective. Sadly, Macc paid him like a # 1 CB, so we naturally couldn't afford or didn't even try to pair him with a CB who can actually cover.

Bride's family was a little pissed. My poor Dad, who doesn't drink, had to watch it in the bar. 2

PepPep
This is practice, so I would not read too much into it. But it definitely is nice to see Sam playing well. Mainly for his confidence. Not too worried about the D. Happy for Sam.

Jets723
I’m not gonna get too ahead of myself because it’s only practice BUT I really believe Sam is gonna take a huge leap forward. I mean look how good he played in the second half of his rookie year with literally no help. We finally have a franchise QB now we just gonna make sure the other parts gel

BROOKLYN JET
Hopefully Sam and company will be able to keep our defense off the field as much as possible. Time of possession is going to be a huge factor in the Jets success. Let's pray there will be more middle LBs and safeties available at the top of the draft again next year.
