Even though he “failed to meet Gator standards,” (which means he’s not Tim Tebow) he still managed to tally 17.5 TFL, 11 sacks, and 6 FFs while starting just 5 of 13 games played as a junior.

His body of work at Iowa State, where he rushed for 2,925 yards and had a knack for breaking multiple tackles on his way to big runs, has been complemented by his early work in OTAs and training camp. “The signs he’s shown are definitely very promising,” said Cohen of Montgomery. “He’s a strong runner, and he can also cut. His legs are very strong. He led the NCAA in broken tackles. So I’m ready to see him ball.””

What you posted is no different than the fluff pieces we get here as Jets fans. Henderson should have been the pick and if Gurley comes up limp this year you'll see why. Maxman
I would ask what KRL thinks over Costello. I have no idea about Costello, but the limited time I spent at camp I have seen: -Reporters not watching practice for stretches at a time -Reporters missing practice and sending tweets making it look like they were there Who knows what will happen with Polite. But I will need to see it with my own eyes before I believe anything. The main stream guys haven't earned my confidence unfortunately. 1

A “Maccagnan” is the type of draft pick that is removed entirely from the NFL in Under 365 days from selection and earns the title of “Maccagnan” since it occurs around 90% of the time. I swear I would have rather had Elmer Fudd as GM. After being cut all his picks should be branded with a tattoo of an image of Maccagnan intently watching Hackenberg work out...for stealing money. Who would even hire that guy as just the lowliest Scout today? Then when I finally learned that he was about to be FIRED in Houston and was then almost immediately Upped to GM of the NYJ. I think that made the Top 3 in Jet fandom misery for me. 2

Jetster
This coaching staff could give two sh*ts where you were drafted. Right now we have no clue what will become of Polite because Gregg Williams is already testing his fortitude by making him run with the 3s. There's new bosses in Florham Park & everyone earns their keep here. I actually posted before camp you probably won't see much of Polite except in situational pass rushes that will increase maybe in the 2nd half of the season. Can we let these guys learn how to adapt to the NFL? Everyone here would have cut Quincy Enunwa based on his 1st year.

The Crusher
I agree the kid has every single red flag he could have and that includes being drafted by Mike “ rush what?” Mac. But honestly I find it hard to believe anyone expected him to come in and blow camp up right away. Hopefully he gets motivated by getting pushed around by 2nd and 3rd stringers and decides to prove himself . I think the physical gifts are there but mentally he’s proved to be miles and miles away. You are certainly playing the odds on the house side calling him a bust. Up to him to prove you wrong.
