QBase is a formula that, entering each draft, predicts NFL QB success based primarily on 2 factors: College production, and number of years/games of experience as a college starter. It's been better than just about any publicly available tool at predicting QB success in the pros. Dobbs is the backup QB for the Steelers; they took him in the 4th round of the 2017 draft out of Tennessee. He's beaten out Mason Rudolph for the # 2 job, apparently.
